What is a .......


Metaphor


Transferring to one word the sense of another. One thing is likened to another as if it were the other. Examples: Screaming headlines, He made an ass of himself, it stirred our emotions, Life is a lark.


Now I want you to realise that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. (1 Cor. 11:3)


And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. (Col. 1:18)

Allegory

A story where people, things or happenings have another meaning, used in teaching or explaining.

Parable

To throw beside, to compare. A story with a moral or enigmatic saying, not LITERALLY true!


Bible to be interpreted and taught allegorically, not literally

Fable

A fiction tale in which animals or other creatures are used to convey a meaning.

Euphemism

To use an auspicious word for an inauspicious word, a less distasteful word for another that is crude. Example: He passed away. They are going to the powder room.

Onomatopoeia

To make a word by imitating the sound or noise of the object.

Personification

Where a person represents some quality, thing or idea, Example: Cupid, the Wise Old Man, The Greek Gods.

Satire

Where foibles, follies, stupidities, abuses are held up for ridicule or contempt.


Irony

Humorous or sarcastic expression where the meaning of the words is the exact opposite. It was ironic that the fireboat burned and sank.

Antithesis

Opposition of contrast of words. Example: The miser robs himself.

Hyperbole

Greek- Throwing beyond excess, exaggeration for effect. Example: That story is as old as time.


If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26)


If your right eyes causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Matt. 5:29)


Synecdoche

When the whole is substituted for the part or part for the whole. Example: Man does not live by bread alone.


"There always has been and always must be an exoteric doctrine for the masses, and esoteric teaching for those who as Plotinus says 'are fortunately able to perceive it'.


But in fact these 'mysteries' cannot be stated in any language but that of allegory and symbolism and in a physical language which can only be symbolical, never literal." (Kingsland, p.26)

FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN THOUGHT

Christians may be defined as those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. They also hold that the Holy Bible is the word of God and it is therefore not to be questioned. There are however certain questions to be answered.


How could God be responsible for evil in the world? If He is all powerful He could remove evil. If He does not choose to do this we must assume that there is a reason for its existence. Since human weaknesses arise at birth we can assume:


(a) An accident has happened

(b) God has caused it

(c) It is the fault of the Soul in an earlier time period.

Assuming (c) to be correct this implies reincarnation. The assumption is that our actions in prior lives have karmic effects which affect present and future lives.


The Bible teaches that our actions are recorded in the Book of Life ( Rev.13 ). This refers to the Akashic Records which exist for each individual.


We must assume a mechanism for the transmission of karma. This is the chakra/ planetary system along the spine. We will examine this in greater detail in later chapters.



THE CYCLIC NATURE OF LIFE

There is a cycle of life and death which is related to the day, the seasons, the year, the planetary cycles and the period of our life. The Soul descends from a high vibratory level, passing through planes of increasing density of matter, until it reaches the physical plane where it is born in a physical body. On the higher planes it assumes finer bodies such as the mental and emotional. These can be seen by a clairvoyant as an aura around the physical body.


Early Christian artists painted the aura around the saints, the Virgin Mary, and Christ. They also depicted the aureole around the head. In the background could be seen the cherubim and angels.


In anyone life of the Soul the progress that it can make is limited. It is extremely important to have Soul Wisdom.


The purpose of this page is to demonstrate that there is more to Christianity than meets the eye. Beyond the literal use of the Bible there is a vast reservoir of esoteric knowledge.


This can be helpful in providing a sense of PURPOSE in life. God created us in His image. That means we have the universe within us.


The planets have reciprocating centres along your spine which are known as chakras. We will examine these in more detail later. Hermes taught that what is above is the same as what is below (in our body). God is in us.



Our Father (Light) which art in heaven. (Matt. 6.9) Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? (John 10.34) If he called them gods the scripture cannot be broken. (John 10.35)


So you are gods in amnesia walking around in the flesh, and yet have no idea, that you are such, because religion has convincd you that you are a worthless wretch, a sinner, filthy rags in the sight of god.


BUT! that's not what the Bible says. Go figure!



"you are the light of the world"


Figures of speech are short, vivid comparisons, not meant to be taken literally. If I say, "Figures of speech offer ways to spice up your writing and make your essays more palatable," I'm using a figure of speech since most of us don't eat our essays or turn in dinners to our English Instructors

One must briefly, at least, consider a basic issue‑‑the tension between the literal and the figurative. Many students of the Bible think that if something is figurative it means that no one can be sure what is being said.


Others, however, insist on a “literal interpretation” of the Bible to the exclusion of figures of speech. If “literal interpretation” is taken literally, then there are all kinds of problems God would be a block of granite, Jesus a piece of wood on hinges, and believers grazing sheep or growing wheat, talking snakes and talking donkeys, Israel as dross of silver. The problem is confronted enough to warrant a survey of how the issue has been handled in the interpretation of the Bible.


Students of the Bible are perhaps aware of Augustine’s concept of multiple senses of Scripture, whereby both words and the things they signify point to spiritual or allegorical meanings. Yet Augustine gave careful attention to the words of Scripture, the literal sense, as the ground for the spiritual significances.


Attention to the words involves knowledge of the original languages, of logic (rules of valid inference), or history, and especially the rhetorical figures.

He says,Lettered men should know, moreover, that all those modes of expression which the grammarians designate with the Greek word tropes were used by our [Scriptural] authors, and more abundantly and copiously than those who do not know them are able to suppose or believe.


Those who know these tropes, however, will recognize them in the sacred letters, and this knowledge will be of considerable assistance in understanding them. And not only examples of all these tropes are found in reading the sacred books, but also the names of some of them, like allegoria, aenigma, parabola (De Doctrina, III, xxix).


The concept of God as a magnificent poet who uses figurative language to communicate His literal Word is graphically expressed by Donne:


My God, my God, Thou art a direct God, may I not say a literall God, a God that wouldst bee understood literally, and according to the plain sense of all that thou saiest?


But thou art also a figurative, a metaphoricall God too; A God in whose words there is such a height of figures, such voyages, such peregrinations to fetch remote and precious metaphors, such extensions, O, what words but thine, can expresse the inexpressible texture, and composition of thy word (Sermons, VII, 65).

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables? EZ:20 Here God speaks in parables


So the concept that figurative language is the character of the literal Word of God in many places, and not some mystical sense, came to be the important distinctive of biblical exegesis after the Reformation.


Unfortunately, modern “expositions” have not taken the time to understand much of this, but rather stand closer to some Puritan interpretations which considered rhetorical devices to be minimal or deceptive.


Each student of the Bible must recapture this important relationship between the figurative and the literal.


One must learn that not only is the figurative the means of communicating the literal, but that the figurative is the literal in its chosen means of expressing the truth, a means that includes intellectual and emotional connotations, allusions and sounds.


The figure is both unified in its communication, and diverse in its aspects.

All flesh is like grass.” (1 Pet. 1:24)

In this verse “flesh,” which is also a figure of speech representing all living creatures, is compared to “grass.” The point is that grass is transitory it withers and dies and is of the earth, not spiritual. This figure must be seen in the context of grass in Israel in the heat it completely disappears from the hills until the rainy season. The feeling that this simile evokes is one of pathos and futility.


“He shall be like a tree planted by rivers of waters.” (Ps. 1:3)
The psalm is describing an individual who meditates. The comparison is now made to a tree.


Here, as is often the case, the simile is qualified: the tree produces fruit in season and does not wither because it is planted by water. The qualifications lead us to conclude that the water represents the second stage of meditation, which is water, the tree is also the spine.


“Dogs have surrounded me.” (Ps. 22:17 [16])

The psalmist is comparing his enemies to dogs. There are no dogs surrounding him; the context will state it is a company of evil‑doers. If he had used a simile, he would have stated explicitly “my enemies are like dogs.” A straightforward metaphor would have said “my enemies are dogs.”


But he simply says “dogs have surrounded me,” and you are left to determine if they are real dogs, and if not, what are they. Once this has been done, you have to return to the figure and ask why he compares them to dogs.


Dogs in the ancient Near East were scavengers they ran in packs and scoured for food. Much like the vultures in the desert they would pick at carcases. So the psalmist is saying a lot about his enemies, and a lot about his condition he is almost dead.


“A lion has gone up from his thicket.” (Jer. 4:7)


The context will make it clear that the idea is the king of Babylon who has left his domain. The comparison with a lion stresses the fierce and brutish nature , and conveys a feeling of fear of attack and death.


Writers frequently use animals or beasts in their hypocatastases for the lower nature in us all, our animal nature. "I have given man the mind of an animal til seven times passes for him" Dan..


Isaiah 13:15-18 If God can find you, he will "thrust you through," smash your children "to pieces" before your eyes, and rape your wife. Here God will rape your wife after killing your children.


Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables? EZ:20 YES! God speaks in parables.


"When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." (Isa. xliii. Not! real fire folks, but a symbol of the purifying spark of god.


So now, what of resurrections, walking on water, feeding multitudes of thousands with two fishes, you see now?


The entire bible, save a few statements is MYTHOLOGY, none of it is LITERAL!




THE BIBLE AS SYMBOL


Our first order of business in this quest is to see if we can justify considering the Bible as symbolic rather then literal. We must use the Bible itself.


1.2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. So here is the Bible itself telling us not to take it literally.

God hath made us able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter (literal interpretation) killeth, but the spirit (allegorical or symbolic interpretation) giveth life. (II Cor. 3.6)


We use great plainness of speech. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (materialistic). (II Cor. 4.3)


If our earthly house of this tabernacle (the physical body) were dissolved we have a building of God (the astral and mental bodies) a house not made with hands (but constructed by the angelic builders) eternal (the causal body) in the heavens (the superphysical planes). (II Cor. 5.1)


Awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead (the physical plane) and Christ shall give thee light. (Eph.5.14)


WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT THAT THE BIBLE IS THE LITERAL WORD OF GOD. But it is all mythology, it’s all symbolic, but you have to understand the meaning of the mythology, in order to grasp what the bible is saying.


2. Galatians 4:24 Which things are an allegory: the definition of a myth includes the term allegory. Here again the Bible tells us it is symbolic.


3. Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: The Bible is saying that all of Jesus statements were symbolic.



4. Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:


Ephesians 3:9: "And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ".
Ephesians 5:32 "This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church".


Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel".


Colossians 4:3 "Praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ".



ANOTHER BIBLE CODE? This is more like the Plain View Bible Code, or you might call it the Purloined Bible Code. The Apostle Paul prayed that he might make known the mystery of the gospel, Eph6:19, so it shouldn't come as a surprise when we find things hidden in the Word


5. Psalm 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Here the Bible states that GOD speaks in parables . And what are dark sayings of old. Obviously they are symbolic statements.


6. In the Book of Proverbs describes wisdom. It explains how one becomes wise. Proverbs 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Dark sayings is mythology


7. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 2 cor.4:3


8. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 2 cor. 3:14


9. We should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter." (Romans 7:6)


10. Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables? EZ:20 Here God speaks in parables


11. 1Cr 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory. Here it says god ordained the hidden wisdom, even before the world


12. Eze. 17:2 Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel. God orders riddles


13. Jdg.14:19 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house. Here it says god was pleased when they cracked the riddle, and rewarded them.


14. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of GOD to conceal a thing: but honor of kings is to search out a matter. And here its Gods honor to conceal things, and make you figure it out.


15. 2Cor.4:3,4 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."


16. Isaiah 9,10 And he said, Go and tell this people, hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes


17. Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.


18. JOB 27:11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.


19. MAT 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.


20. psalm 89 might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."


21. Proverbs 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.


22. 1 cor 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:


23. IS. 48:6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.


24. Eziekel 3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;


25. exodus 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?


26. exodus 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.


27. "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God." (Jesus Christ - The Holy Bible: Matthew 22:29)


28. Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.


Here God is saying that his word is like milk to you, as a babe must drink milk before it can eat solid food. God is saying his word is for the the one who is ready for meat, in other words, when one is ready for the deeper meaning, this is the meat, for the one full of age (wisdom). Reading Gods word literally is MILK, it is for the unskillful, and they will not understand.



Here the fact that this is all consciousness is made clear. It says to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God. Where is the Kingdom of God ? . (Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.)


The statement concludes by saying that "unto them that are without". Outside of the meditative state. Outside of the inner realm of consciousness where exists the Kingdom of God..


Here we see that God speaks in mysteries, riddles and parables, He puts riddles in peoples mouths, he shuts their eyes and ears, he sends strange and hard speeches, he sends dark sayings, and that is Gods glory that he conceal a thing, he imparts secret wisdom and make you and I search it. His word is as milk to the unskillful, without age (reason).


Theres no doubt that the bible is showing you that, you can't read it at face value, you have to look for the deeper meaning, the secret widom, the dark sayings, the hidden and so forth.


The problem with christianity as a whole, including all the pastors and tv evangelist pay no attention to these verses and read and teach the bible literally, which is an abomination unto god.


His word is mysterous and wants you to search it out, the truth is not given to the vain, to the once a week jesus mercenary.


There's no doubt is there, about what is being said here, the Bible was written in a certain metaphorical, symbolic language of old, which is mythology.



ITS ALL A MYTH




And Nietzche said all myths are truths

Joseph Campbell says all myths are tribal and scientific truths.

So the Bible is made up of mythological stories but they have real value to you and I.

The Bible is a science book, an astronomy book an anatomy book, and a psychology book.

Religion has no idea of the hidden truths in the Bible as they go around reading and teaching the stories in their literal sence, which is DEAD letter for the masses which acts as a control book for the masses.

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children,


and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.


Do you hate your Mother and Father? according to Jesus you must.

"He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment,

So which is it, do we beat swords into plowshares or beat plowshares into swords, or do we sell our clothes and go buy a sword or do we need two swords?



2 Kings 8:12 "You will set fire to their fortified places, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women." This is God's commandment mind you. Rip open pregnant womwn, wow! What A god! My god! can you believe that? Holy mackeral!


"Mothers ye shall dash your babies against rocks, and eat the first born of your daughters" "and fathers ye shall eat the first born of your sons" Wow ! eat your children and bash them against rocks ! Really ! What a cruel God!



Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. Gods commandment mind you!


Deuteronomy 28:53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, therewith thine enemies shall distress thee.


Here god commands children to be eaten. Isaiah 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. Gods commandment again!



Psalm 137:8.9 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. God said We should be happy to dash the little one against stones.


The Lord sends bears to kill 42 children for making fun of someone:


2 Kings 2:23-24 Elisha went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head.


And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty-two children of them.


Children put to the sword:

1 Kings 3:24.25 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

EZ:20 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables?1 Cor. 3:2 ''Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom. We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God.


Oh ! these are parables and hidden wisdom, Mythology, now I get it.


Why then hasnt religion told me this, why hasnt your average soap box tv evangelist or corner church, black collar wearing minister told us this?

Because they havnt a clue, they've scarcely even read the bible, so how could they possibly


know, much less teach you anything?


Consciously or unconsciously, a figure-of-speech begins as a communication device for getting someone's attention: to intrude into their mind and relay a message; and then goes on to become an accepted and habitual part of the vernacular.


This is how God gets your attention, by speaking to you in figures of speech.


Now, I have an axe to grind with you, should I get my grinder?



THE BIBLE ITSELF INSTRUCTS US


The Bible is very clear that its words are symbolic and not to be taken literally. Galatians 4:22 says that the Old Testament story of Abraham and Sarah is allegory. It means something else.


Romans 2:28 says a Jew is not one outwardly but inwardly. 2 Corinthians 3:6 specifically warns us about taking these words literally, be not a minister of the letter.


2 Corinthians 3:15 says that when people read the Old Testament a veil is over their heart, meaning they do not understand what they see, it is hidden.


Matthew 13:34 says Jesus never spoke but in a parable. Everything was symbolic. But what have we done. We have fought and killed each other over temples which do not exist, and stories we do not understand.


MYTHOLOGY

Samples of how to read the Bible


1. "thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;"
Psalms 30:11


Sackcloth represents the poor. In this case the spirit is poor. The person is down. God has provided a new spirit and the depression is lifted.


2. "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys, an whose emission was like that of horses." Ezekiel 23:20


"She" is the mind. The mind lusts after the lower physical things. The genitals represent life, creation, origins. The geneitals of the lower are brutish and stubborn (donkey).


They are the kinds of thoughts that will not follow the higher. They stay where they are.


The emission means the seed that enters "her". Its life is brutish and stubborn but its origin is the horse which is the carrier to heaven. The horse is always used to transport the Gods to heaven, like Pegasus.


The heaven however is the mind that is controlled by the stubborn brutish nature. The combination of the two is a person who is very stubborn and brutish but takes charge and directs things from the lower or physicl nature.


3. "Fair Babylon, you destroyer happy those who pay you back the evil you have done us! Happy is he who siezes your babies and dashes them against the rocks." Psalm 137:8-9


Babylon is the lower mind which is filled with attraction to the physical. It is not spiritual at all. To seize the minds babies is to cut off the new thoughts.


The ideas and concepts that are born out of the lower mind are considered babies and to dash them against the rocks is to destroy the misguided new thoughts and concepts through the spirit which is steady. The Bible refers to it as the rock of salvation and the old song is called Rock of Ages.


4. "And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:" Gen 27:11


Hair that grows out of the body can mean either the Spirit or the physical senses which must be cut away. It depends on the sect. Some cut their hair such as Buddhists because to them hair symbolizes thoughts from the lower mind.


Others let their hair grow (Islam) because it represents spirit. Here Esau who is the culprit in the story has hair which means lower thoughts while Jacob is of the spirit without lower thoughts growing from him.


5. "Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times" Proverbs 5:19


Her means the higher spirit. The inner light. Hind and Roe are deer which are symbols of a closeness to nature and a leaping toward the higher nature.


The breasts provide milk which is spiritual food. Understanding , enlightenment. Thus the proverb says to allow the mind to commune with nature reaching up to the higher and feed on the milk or understanding that comes forth from the new mind. Interpreted by bill Donahue of hidden meanings



Can you interpret these verses?


7 "And you shall eat it as barley cakes; and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight."Ezekiel 4:12

8. "I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste." Solomon 2:3

9. "My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him." Solomon 5:4

10. "You will set fire to their fortified places, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women." 2 Kings 8:12

Because the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that he may not see anything indecent among you, and turn away from you."




Deut. 23:13-14

Hard huh ! Its all symbols, dark sayings and allegory, the verses and stories in the bible are like hard nuts, that have cracked many a tooth, for the true seeker of truth.



We read other strange stories in our Bible, such as the following. The Lord told Moses to force Pharaoh by plagues to free the Israelites from bondage and captivity; but after each plague He hardened Pharaoh's heart. Samson was overcome, not by the ropes and willow branches which bound him but by having his hair cut off and being bound with that.


The walls of Jericho were brought down by shouts and trumpeting. A fig tree was cursed and withered by the Lord of Love for not bearing fruit early in the spring before the Passover.


All of these stories and many others are quoted when criticisms are directed against the Christian Scriptures and, unless one possesses the keys of interpretation, one must remain silent, unable to defend even one's own Bible.


It is that the Bible like other World Scriptures is written in a particular metaphorical language full of imagery and symbolism.


This very ancient language was designed to reveal deep truths, to convey metaphysical ideas, to describe supersensory states of consciousness and the spiritual experiences of exalted men and women.



The authors who wrote in this allegorical manner wanted to reveal these deeply hidden mysterious truths and to describe interior mystical experiences.



They used actual historical personages and actual geographical places to weave a representation of eternal truths. All earth myths used actual geographical plces and personages to weave theier myths around, the Bible is no different in this regard.



In the Jason and argo myth, Jason landed in georgia on the black sea, but its a myth, and everyone knows that, But you see the usage of actual geographical locations. Such is the nature of all myths.


In fact, not one single person portrayed in the Bible ever existed, including Jesus. Jesus is a picture of the sun, among a long list of past sun gods.


All of the personages and places in the Bible relate to the physical body, the emotional body and the intellectual mind. As with all myths the river jordan the land of egypt etc, have their true meaning in the human psyche.


And what did the fictitous biblical character Paul say ?

Paul said, go beyond the literal meaning of the Old Testament. He asks us to obey the spirit of the law, not the letter. "He is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, and not in the letter."




(Romans 2:29) "We should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter."

(Romans 7:6) "The letter kills, but the spirit gives life." (2 Corinthians 3:6) Note: In all these cases the word letter means literal

Is there a real heaven and a real hell?


Remember the Bible says don't be a minister of the LETTER (literal), but of the SPIRIT


And consider Proverbs 15:24 A word to the wise above (using your head) you can depart from Hell beneath, (being ruled by your lower nature).


You see Heaven and Hell are states of consciousness only and not literal, so relax.


Religion and Evangelists want you to believe its real so they can control you, so you will need them. And give them MONEY.



"One does not have to die in order to go to hell, any more than one has to die to get to heaven.



Both are states of mind and conditions, which people experience as a direct outworking of their thoughts, beliefs, words, and acts. If one's mental processes are out of harmony with the law of man's [sic] being, they result in trouble and sorrow; mental as well as bodily anguish overtakes one, and this is hell".



The lowest rung on the latter descending into Hell, is reserved for those who believe they will go to Hell, if they don't believe in Hell.




God actually used the dark sayings of:

ships, thunder, harps, altars, crowns, chariots, queens, rivers and water, scales, virgins, cups, and symbols of beasts (bear, dog, lamb, wild beast, horses, lion), and of fowl (eagle, fowl),
and of creeping things (dragons, scorpion, serpents), and of fishes (whale or sea beast) in Revelation as a simple execution of events with relation to verse numbers.



The circle of animals and its Heavenly story continue to revolve in the Universe.


Key Phrases in the Bible


Sometimes the Bible can be very specific. Here are some of the key statements.


1. "Ye are gods in the becoming." (John 10.34)
2. "The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17.21)
3. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things will be added unto you." (Luke 12.31)


Remember the nature of your origin is derived from the separation of your human Monad from the Godhead. This is what is meant by the Easter crucifixion of the "first born of Egypt."


The gate or lintel posts of the doorways had to be sprinkled with blood. This refers to the spiritual death, which has specific reference to the descent of the Soul from the Monad, which is our Father which is in heaven.


The offering of Isaac by Abraham means the same thing. Your Soul must descend into the tomb of the physical body to acquire spiritual knowledge. When the Soul reaches perfection by repeated incarnations it is said "to go out no more" from its Father's kingdom.




The Veil of Allegory


Maimonides speaking of the Book of Genesis said, "We ought not to take literally that which is written in the story of Creation, nor entertain the same ideas of it as are common with the vulgar.

If it were otherwise, our ancient sages would not have taken so much pains to conceal the sense, and to keep before the eyes of the uninstructed the veil of allegory which conceals the truth it contains."


Jerome said, "The most difficult and obscure of the holy books contain as many secrets as they do words, concealing many things even under each word."


Mosheim said that all the Fathers of the second century attributed a hidden and mysterious sense to the words of Scripture.


Origen asked, "What man is so simple as to believe that God, as a gardener planted a garden in the East? That the Tree of Life was a real tree which could be touched, and of which the fruit had the power of conferring immortality?"


This tree mentioned by Origen is the kabalistic Tree of Life or spine in man. Immortality is achieved by the raising of consciousness (in terms of vibrational frequencies) from the Lower Self to the Higher Self, represented by Tiphareth, the heart centre on the middle pillar (spine) of the Kabalistic Tree of Life.


The Mysteries of the Kingdom (I Corinthians)


What man knoweth the things of a man save the Spirit of a man which is in him. (2.11)

We speak not in the words man's wisdom teacheth but which the Holy Ghost (as Light) teacheth. (2.13)

We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory. (2.7)
We speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world. (2.6)

Let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. (4.1)

Judge nothing until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels then shall every man have praise of God. (4.5)
