MOSES STRIKES a ROCK and AARON dies, what is the meaning of this bazzar story?

Figures of speech

Who let the cat out of the bag?

Have you heard it from the horses mouth?

Does your elevator go all the way to the top?

We probably don't go through a day without using a figure of speech. The Bible is full of them. "Let us go down and confound their language" said God in Genesis 11:7. Do you recognize a Biblical precedent for these ordinary and everyday figures of speech?

THE SYMBOLIC TRUTH. From trees that clap hands, to mountains that are thrown into the sea, and water that divides to provide a path to the other side; the Scripture abounds in a crazy way of speaking that isn't easy to believe, or even follow. Would a God who cannot lie have expressed Himself to us this way?

"Let US go down and confound their language.", Gen11:7. Yes, lets give them METAPHORS that they can't understand my words, because of the chariots of iron in their cities.

Most take this to mean the beginning of different languages and geographic colloquialisms, but figures of speech (including metaphors) may play an important part too. Read about more than 200 "Figures of Speech used in the Bible" by E.W.Bullinger (Baker Book House). Who is "US"? God came down on the mountain, Ex19:11, and Jesus came as a baby, and the Holy Ghost as a wind: they came in succession. Bible students may appreciate how the word "succeed" is found uniquely in Deuteronomy 25:6.

The Bible actually dares us to believe it! Walls that fall down, iron that floats, donkeys that talk, and people who live to be nearly a thousand years old are all part of God's "Word of Truth". It certainly is a strange and unbelievable kind of truth, isn't it? "A man-swallowing whale", you say? Really? You expect me to swallow that? [sarcastic/satire]

So the Lord did confound their language, and that's when they left off building the tower and scattered into all the world; presumably to speak Chinese, Sanskrit, Swahili, etc. The narrative is curtly brief at this point, and doesn't furnish any details, so we can only surmise that they woke up one morning and couldn't make out what their neighbors were saying. Great shades of Pentecost!

We often think of an allegory as simply a symbolic or figurative story. That's correct as far as it goes, but many in the religious hierarchy are determined to discredit allegories by proclaiming them as "something which isn't true". Actually, the symbolic story is just a figurative way of telling a spiritual truth.

Figures of speech, like metaphors or parables, often say things which aren't literally accurate, and allegories are in the same class. The symbolic story may use outrageous or incredible features to describe an spiritual understanding.

When I first read about the 700 wives and 300 concubines of Solomon, 1K11:3, it seemed to be an artificial and hyperbolic work of fiction. Especially since the numbers add up to an even 'thousand', and because the numbers "3" and "7" are used symbolically in other passages. God is not a man that he should lie, but is He allowed to round off numbers?

Poor Solomon! Did he ever have a moment to call his own, do you think? How did he ever find time to do all that mining and building, romancing all those women and still serve as king? Could he call all those women by name, I wonder?

Of course it's allegory steeped in traditional numerology and gematria.

"The foolishness of God is wiser than men", and "God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise", 1Cor1:25.

One of the most misinterpreted sayings of Jesus Christ relates to "the eye of the needle". The saying (badly translated) is, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven".

A camel is a beast of burden and in ancient times a camel was usually seen loaded with the material goods of its owner. The simile of "a camel passing through the eye of the needle", suggests the actual meaning of Christ's quotation is, that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than it is for a MATERIALLY MINDED PERSON to enter heaven; one whose mind is burdened like the camel.

The purpose in including this "eye of the needle" interpretation is to provide one demonstration of how many passages of the New Testament are deeply veiled by simile and metaphor. Many literal interpretations lead to paradox and the decoded passages lead to a transcendent understanding.

QUAIL

"The Lord was displeased by the complaining. And he caused a very great wind from the sea to bring a large quantity of quail to the camp site".

Wind means spirit (god/jesus), the sea is the emotional mind.

Camp site, means the mind that is dwelling in the desires of lower things.

Quail, a symbol of the lower desires, which bring sorrow and suffering to the soul/mind.

"And there went forth a wind from the lord, and brought quails from the sea" num 11:31

A purging out of the lower thoughts from the lord (wind).

The people journeyed from Kibroth-hattavah to Hazeroth. Kibroth-hattavah means graves of lust. Hazeroth means encampment or enclosure. Our thoughts quail assemble or come together and are buried as we leave our lust of the lower mind behind.

It was necessary that the lower desires should bring experience to the mind, hence the desires of the astral plane (sea/emotions) were energized for a period.

And the people gathered the quail (thought) for meat (truth) all day and all that night. But while they were eating it (consuming the mind with thoughts of lower desires), the Lord caused a "very great plague (plague is a symbol of that which comes against the ego)" to descend upon them (lower thoughts), and "there they buried the people that lusted."

The people are all of the negative thoughts that proceed from the lower thinking, they are symbolically buried.

Birds, all birds in the bible represent thought, either in a lower or higher sense.

New Testament are deeply veiled by simile and metaphor

"In a PARABLE spake he NOT unto them" In other words, everything Jesus said in the bible is a PARABLE and NEVER literal.

The Lord told Moses to send the ruler of each of the twelve tribes, that they may search the land of Canaan, the Promised Land, which was their goal. So Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran to Canaan.

The names of these leaders are the consciousness levels to which the people (or person) had attained. When we understand them, we will begin to understand the meaning of this story. As we have indicated in earlier issues, geographic references in the Bible symbolize states of consciousness.

The Promised Land is a symbol for cosmic consciousness or Illumination. But let us first tell the story.

"Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan." He told them to go up into the mountain, and see the land and the people who dwelled there; and get information about their numbers, the quality of the land, and their cities.

And they went and searched the land, from the wilderness of Zen unto Rehob. They came to the brook of Eshcol and cut down a branch with on cluster of grapes, and carried it between two of them on a staff. The staff is the spine

Zin means thorn, lowland and covering. It indicates a consciousness which is as yet at too low a level to achieve the ultimate spiritual goal of the Promised land.

Rehob means spacious, great understanding. It is the level of consciousness which is open and receptive. But this openness may lead to controversial ideas and not to spiritual Truth. The brook of Eshcol which meas a cluster or bunch of grapes represents the life forces and is an indication of fruitfulness in consciousness.

And after forty days (overcoming the physical) of searching, they returned to Moses. They reported to him that the land "floweth with milk and honey." The pineal gland and the pituatary gland.

They also told them that the children of Anak lived there; the Amalekites live in the south (the physical), the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the mountains (the higher erealms of consciousness) and the Canaanites live by the sea, near Jordan. (the sea is the thoughts on the outer real of the consciousness, these are negative thoughts).

Anak means giant. It represents the idea that the material intellect is the seat of power. The word for Amalekites, the descendants of Amalek translates as warlike and valley dweller. It indicates a low level consciousness, such as lust and base desires. These animal passions are warlike and destructive. The word Hittites means terror and sundered. They represent opposition and resistance.

Jebsites translates as contemptuous and subjected. Jebus was the original name of Jerusalem. It is the inner consciousness when it is still ruled by the carnal passions. These must be thrown out in order to build the temple of Jerusalem (the higher conscious state), of the Temple of the Soul and thus change the name of the "city" to Jerusalem.

Amorites translates as dwellers of the summits or highlanders. Descended from Noah, this level of consciousness is operated by the generative function instead of the spiritual. It must be overcome by purification of the body, mind and soul through meditation, and god slew their enemies (thought) while they stood still (meditated).

When they returned, Caleb and Joshua recommended that the Israelites go, overcome the enemies and possess the land, but the other returning spies said that the people were too powerful and the land inferior.

They gave what the Bible calls "an evil report of the land." They said that the people were giants (giants are ego's) and by comparison, they (the leaders) felt like grasshoppers. This is the mind ruled by the lower ego mind, and all of the thoughts that arise out of this mind set.

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn."

The unicorn represents the ONEness of consciousness, that must be reached, this is the magic of the UNi-corn. Unity consciousness.

Numbers 20

20:1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there. Miriam the emotional nature dies.

Miriam, which means protest, rebeellion and contradiction in Hebrew, was Moses' and Aaron's sister and symbolized the emotions. Her death indicates that the ideas or rebellious thoughts which she represents have died or ceased. Th death allows for the birth of a more advanced level of the feminine quality of love. or higher emotions.

Read Exodus 2:1-10

The baby was Moses, and the Hebrew woman, Jochebed, and her daughter Miriam saved him by hiding him among the reeds at the edge of the river. He was found by Pharaoh's own daughter, who adopted him. Cleverly, Miriam arranged that the real mother of the baby should be a wet-nurse for the baby.

Miriam saved Moses, Exodus 2:1-10. This well-known story shows that the survival of the leader of the Exodus, Moses, depended on the courage and ingenuity of one young woman, his sister Miriam

Miriam is symbol of the emotional quality of the mind (sister)

Miriam his sister, a competent and self-possessed girl who followed and watched over him, shaping his future. Do you see?

'Then the prophet Miriam, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dancing.
And Miriam sang to them:

"Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; Horse and rider he has thrown into the sea." '

Music that is part of meditation, the bible is saying to use music in your meditation.

'Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?' And the Lord heard it and said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam 'Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.'

Read Numbers 12:1-9

Tent is a symbol of the lower mind activity. "slumber not in the tents of your fathers"

You three, the physical, the intellectual and the emotional nature as seen again in the mythology of Moses, Aaron and Miriam. these must die in the furnace heated seven times.

desert of Zin/Sin is the place of the turbulent mind apart from the higher directing principle .

kadesh is also a symbol of the lower mind.

Where did Moses get water from a rock?

Moses and Aaron Doomed

20:2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

Water has two meanings in scripture, at one level it is the lower emotions, and the other is that water represents gods truth. The lower ego is crying out to the intellect (moses) to bring it to truth.

20:3 And the people chide with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!

death is the spiritual death of the ego., the go is asking the intellect, would god kill us as he killed our brethren, other parts of our lower nature.

20:4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?

Wilderness is the place of the mind wandering in the realms of lower thought separated from any higher consciousness, cattle are symbols of the animal nature.
Why should we, the ego thoughts die here in the wilderness, separated from god, aren't you supposed to be saving us?

20:5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

Egypt is a symbol of the lower body, the first three chakras of the body, where jesus was crucified. The ego is asking the mind to bring us to the place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. The higher consciousness

20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. (20:6) "And they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them."

This is a symbol of the mind submitting to the higher divine consciousness, faces are symbols of self, thought etc...

The door of the tabernacle is the fornix of the brain, the place of the inner temple, but Moses is only allowed at the door, as the intellect cannot enter within the divine realm.

20:7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

20:8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. (20:8) "Speak ye unto the rock."

Rock is also a symbol of the mind

One should not be like a rock. The rock appears to be very strong but is not, and water appears to be very weak but is not.

Never be deceived by appearances. Finally the water wins over the rock and the rock is destroyed and becomes sand and is taken to the sea. The rock disappears finally against the soft water.

The rock is masculine; it is the male mind, the aggressive mind. Water is feminine, soft, loving, not aggressive at all. But the non-aggressive wins. The water is always ready to surrender, but through surrender it conquers that is the way of the woman. The woman always surrenders and conquers through it.

The rod is the spine with the seven chakras, notice god commanded Moses to speak to the rock, the congregation is all of the lower thoughts and sense desires of the beastly nature within us.

Speak unto the rock, the rock is the pineal gland of the brain.
Speak is a symbol of the mental faculties and qualities, good or bad, as the mind is directed upward or downward.

Aarons rod bloomed almonds, which is a symbol of the amygdala or throat chakra, which is responsible for higher speech.

so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink (higher truth).
"Speak ye unto the rock."

In other words god commanded Moses to use speech, the throat chakra Aaron to impact the energy upon the rock, the pineal gland.

How did God tell Moses to get water from a rock?

20:9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.

20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

Moses the intellect in conjunction with Aaron the throat chakra harken the rebels ( the lower mind quality) to fetch the water (truth), from the rock (pineal gland)

(20:11) "With his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out."

Moses hits a rock with his rod and Presto! -water comes out.

Moses is punished for hitting the rock with his staff (like he did before in Exodus 17:6) to get water, rather than just speaking to the rock (as God asked him to do this time). For messing up the magic trick, Moses will never get to the promised land.

20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

Moses, the intellect lifted up his hand (hand is the directing principle of the mind) but he did not speak to the rock (pineal), instead he struck it twice, and this angered the lord.

20:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Moses is punished for hitting the rock with his staff (like he did before in Exodus 17:6) to get water, rather than just speaking to the rock (as God asked him to do this time). For messing up the magic trick, Moses will never get to the promised land.

WHY?

First of all why did Moses strike the rock instead of speaking to it. As god commanded?

Because Moses being the rational mind cannot follow the things of the higher, the intellect can only take you so far, that's why the intellect can only get to the temple door, but it cannot go in. it's mythology telling you that it is impossible for the intellect to understand the nature of the higher consciousness (god). So it cannot follow the inner commands given it, it is incapable.

But it can understand that when one enters into meditation and activates the spine (rod) and allow the kundalini (fire/god) to rise up the seven seals, and bring forth Is Ra El, the higher state, it can do that, but it cannot partake of the higher instructions.

That's why meschac, shedrach, and abednego get thrown into the fiery furnace heated seven times in the book of daniel
.

The physical, the intellectual and emotional nature. Then the fourth spiritual nature takes over (christ or Isreal).

The intellect cannot get into the promised land until it has been purged from it's lower sense nature in the fire or furnace heated seven times, the furnace is the fornix of the brain. The lower intellect is symbolically killed, the day before the Israelites enter therein. The lower mind must be transmuted to it's higher state, from it's lower state, controlled by the Philistines and the Canaanites.

20:13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.

Meribah.

It is our carnal self that complains of the lack of water and loses faith whenever things don't seem to be going right. It is a temptation that we must overcome. Rocks in the Bible symbolize the pineal gland. To smote the rock/pineal with his rod/spine/kundalini is to bring forth the spiritual water which alone satisfies spiritual thirst by the uplifting of the creative fire within man's body. Meribah means contention and strife. It is a state of consciousness to be avoided.

Meribah means strife, combat between 2 men, rebellious, disobedient.

it is actually the duality of mind, the lower in opposition to the higher.

because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.

The children of IS Ra EL is the higher mind. The mind that stayed the course, one who strove in meditation. These are the thoughts of the higher consciousness or promised land, the land flowing with milk and honey, the pineal and pituitary glands that secrete a white milky substance and golden honey substance, brain dew as it is called.

Brother is a symbol or mirror of the self, or individual, but in the duality of mind, not yet unified under the directing principle of the higher consciousness, yet directing the mind to read, learn and understand as well as seek higher spiritual truths such as meditation, it is like the finger pointing to the moon. yet it is still inferior, as opposed to the higher wisdom of god consciousness.

Moses being the intellect, cannot enter the higher conscious state symbolized by striking the rock twice, which symbolizes the duality of mind. But Aaron, moses brother must die.

Aaron is a symbol of the spiritual mind, the inner mind that is moved by the higher emotions, as Aaron is also equated with the throat chakra (divine speech), this mind operates subjectively on the higher mind plane, and ministers to the development of the congregation, the thoughts of the mind in a lower or higher sense. The duality of the mind symbolized by the brother must die before the mind can come under the one direction of god or the higher consciousness.

Moses the intellect being a part of the overall carnal or sense and desire nature is not subject to god, as god is not subject to the carnal or lower mind. That's exactly why Moses disobeyed god's command to speak to the rock instead of striking it, this mind although aspiring to the higher is still part of the lower three kings. The intellect always looks for a shortcut and has a difficult time understanding higher spiritual things.

Moses is the higher intellect, the rod is the spine, and the rock is the pineal gland. Water is the higher truth (electromagnetism) from above. Twice is the duality of mind that must be overcome.

ALL VERY DEEP symbolism of things that go on in the field of human consciousness.

This next part is especially tough, it is heavier duty mind stuff.

One must understand the exact meaning of the symbols (edom, kadesh, egypt, angel, king, coasts, garmets etc..)

20:14 And Moses sent messengers (messengers are angles or angels from above, they are the higher divine thoughts from above) from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:
Kadesh is a city on the border of Edom

Joshua 14:7

I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.

Duet 9:23

And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, ‘Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God and did not believe him or obey his voice.

num 13:26

And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

Kadesh

Kadesh the sacred city of the Hittites, on the left bank of the Orontes, about 4 miles south of the Lake of Homs. It is identified with the great mound Tell Neby Mendeh, some 50 to 100 feet high, and 400 yards long. On the ruins of the temple of Karnak, in Egypt, has been found an inscription recording the capture of this city by Rameses II. (See PHARAOH .) Here the sculptor "has chiselled in deep work on the stone, with a bold execution of the several parts, the procession of the warriors, the battle before Kadesh, the storming of the fortress, the overthrow of the enemy, and the camp life of the Egyptians." (See HITTITES .)

Kadesh is a town in southern Canaan, close to Beer lahai roi (Genesis 16:14), and first mentioned in the war of four against five kings (Genesis 14:7). It's also known as Enmishpat (Genesis 14:7) and Kadesh-barnea (Numbers 32:8).

Kadesh (qadash) to be consecrated, hallowed, sanctified. Many scholars believe that this verb originally meant to separate, but that belief is made challengeable by the lack of occurrences of this verb in a secular context. in Akkadian this verb means to be clean or pure. The Biblical usage of this verb is pretty much on a par with the English verb to consecrate or be holy.

Egyptian

Behold, the wretched, vanquished chief of Kheta, together with numerous allied countries, were stationed in battle array, concealed on the northwest of the city of Kadesh, while his majesty was alone by himself, with his bodyguard, and the division of Amon was marching behind him.

The symbolism of the city of kadesh would seem to be that of the lower ego nature, although the Israelites had left Egypt ( the lower mind), they are still not out of the woods yet, because kadesh is south, and south is the physical, it deonotes one still stuck in sense and desire nature. Being a SOUTHERN town in Canaan gives it away as the physical.

Kadesh the sacred city of the Hittites, on the left bank (the left hemisphere of the brain) Neet huh?

The battle before Kadesh, the storming of the fortress, the overthrow of the enemy, and the camp life of the Egyptians. This is a dead give awayas to the meaning of Kadesh.
The mind although having come forth from the land of Egypt (the complete control of the mind under the Ego nature), there's still battles to be fought in the consciousness as one still must overcome the sense desire, the material desires, the emotions and so forth. The battle over the killing out of the physical desires is at kadesh.

And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, ‘Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,’

20:15 How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:

Our fathers ( symbol of the mind in action) went down into Egypt ( the lower nature) and dwelt there (operated from that mind set, a long time. They were vexed ( means difficult and frustrated time), yes, living off of the lower mind with all of the negative lower emotional thoughts that proceed from this mind is vexing indeed.

20:16 And when we cried unto the LORD (the higher mental faculty asking for higher guidance with the lower frustrations), he heard our voice, and sent an angel, (the higher consciousness responding with an angel, angle of light from above) and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border: Kadesh being a symbol of limited freedom, it is still a border town to the promised land still occupied by the canaanites, but it is a step closer to raising one's consciousness to the higher state, after conquering the physical (sense and desire)

20:17 Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: (the mind is negotiating with the ego to pass through kadesh and overcome the sense and desire nature, but it won't give) we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: (we will not partake of the any good thing there) we will go by the king's high way, ( the king is the EGO) we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders. A plea with the EGo to let the consciousness stay at a higher level. right and left, are right and left hemispheres, the consciousness is trying to sneak by the ego, to get to the promised land.

20:18 And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.

If we remember the esau and jacob story, it was esau that was the firstborn (the physical nature) and jacob (the spiritual nature took second place), but the birthright had to changed, so Jacob tricked his brother esau with red meat poridge, which is a symbol of the lower emotions, and he became the firstborn.

Esau and his family left Canaan and went to live in Seir among the Horites whose name vanished to be replaced by that of Edomite. The Horites were kinsmen of the Amalekites after whom Eliphaz, the son of Esau, named his son.

The Amalekites were the cause of the first war waged by Israel and it is of singular importance to note that the Lord God Almighty swore that "Because theirs is a hand against the throne of the Lord. He will war with Amalek from generation to generation" (Exodus 17:16). Or until Esau ends the days of man and the day of the Lord ushers in the age of Jacob-Israel, .

Edom is the name which was given to Esau, the first-born son of yitzchak, on the day he sold his birthright to Yaaqov for a mess of pottage, the reddish color of which gives it its name—"Adom".

20:18 And Edom (the physical, sense desire nature) said unto him (the higher intellect), Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.

The physical nature does not want to give up it's desire for the world so easy, it takes much time in meditation to overcome the flesh, ans take second place to the spiritual nature, just as the story goes.

Edom means red or ruddy. It refers to the outer or carnal man. The Edomites were the descendants of Esau. These carnal thoughts or ideas kept the Israelites from passing through their territory. The path to spiritual enlightenment is straight and narrow. We must not let our ideas stray either to the right or to the left. It is proper that we turn away from these carnal thoughts, for they will not help us to reach ‘the promised land.'

also

It symbolizes the carnal man. Spiritual growth is not a steady upward path. Often times we vacillate between the two extremes of elevated thinking and then carnal or material thoughts. When we have slipped back into the carnal we are no longer in contact with our spiritual selves and so we yearn for bread and water - or spiritual truths.

20:19 And the children of Israel (the higher conscious thoughts) said unto him (the physical nature/ego), We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing anything else, go through on my feet.

Feet are a symbol of the lower mind, here the mind is trying to trick the physical nature into letting it proceed to the promised land (the higher conscious state), so it poses as a lower state (feet), and says it will pay for any water used by the cattle (the animal nature), which must be paid for in the form of karma.

20:20 And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. The ego/physical nature with it's chariots of iron resists all attempts to overcome it.

20:21 Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him. Israel, those manifesting the higher quality thoughts from above, give up trying to overcome this physical beast, it's extremely difficult, the physical desires are the hardest part of the three natures to transform into the higher spiritual nature.

20:22 And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor. Aaron dies

Mount Hor is a higher state of being reached in meditation, they left kadesh, the place of the physical desire.

Kadesh means pure, holy and sacred. This is the pure, sinless, perfect state which exists within each of us. Hor means to be high or a mountain. It indicates an elevated spiritual state. Eleazar means God is helper and help of God. From the holy and sacred consciousness we are able to attain the heightened spiritual consciousness and our highest self dies and is replaced with an even more elevated spiritual consciousness. This cycle will be repeated many times as we progress step by step toward Illumination.

20:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,

Moses and Aaron, symbols of the intellect and higher spiritual nature of this seeking mind, still on the mountain (a symbol of manifesting higher ideals in meditation), saying;

20:24 Aaron (the higher inner divine principle) shall be gathered unto his people (all of the thoughts of the mind): for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. Moses the intellect, in rebellion to the higher principle cannot come to truth (water), by it's very nature cannot do so.

20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:

Mount Hor borders edom, remember edom is the physical nature, so where is mount Hor as it relates to one's consciousness?

Aaron (the divine mind in action within the soul/mind) and his son, a righteous good positive thought in action, comes up to mount HOR, a higher state of being, bordering edom, in other words a person that has gained great strides in overcoming the beastly physical nature (edom).

20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.

Garments are symbols of the ego, he put them on his son, the casting off of the ego death, yet the son, still a part of the lower nature gets the garments (ego/desire'sense qualities) The death is symbolic of the raising of ones consciousness to a higher state

20:27 And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation. (20:27-28)

Hor means to think, a height or mountain. This is symbolic of spirituality or an exalted level of thought

"They went up into mount Hor and Aaron died there in the top of the mount."

Where? In the higher realms of consciousness.

20:28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. Eleazar ( another symbol of the rational mind) Because he has not yet come to complete fruition, there's still fragments of lower things that must be dealt with in meditation.

20:29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel. The mourning is that of the ego nature, as it has lost a battle with the higher mind (Aaron).

There are thirty degrees in each sign of the zodiac, and also you drop the zeros, and we have the three parts of the nature, and jesus church being built in three days without tools.

That's consciousness.

Num 21

This time the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, which bit them and many died. The people repented and asked Moses for help. Moses prayed for the people. The Lord told Moses to make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole; and those who were bitten and looked upon it, lived.

The serpent/spine and nerves relates to desire, sensuousness, and most importantly the generative or creative powers. It is appropriate there fore to call them ‘fiery' serpents, so that we will not mistake their meaning. These forces, when raised up, lift up the whole man to a higher, spiritual level.

When the people were bitten by the serpents, it means that they were caught up in the sense consciousness. To look up to the raised serpent/kundalini to the brain, we have lifted these forces up, transmuted this life force to a spiritual level. Jesus said, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up."

Chapter 28. The Daily Burnt Offering.

The Lord tells Moses to command the children of Israel to make offerings and sacrifices unto Him daily. These offerings and sacrifices include lambs, bullocks, rams, goats, flour, oil, and strong wine. They are to be made by fire.

Offerings represent transmutations. The animals relate to the animal passions and desires which must be transmuted; burned up in the furnace or fornix of the brain; changed into elevated, spiritual emotions of the heart. Sacrifice, which we think of as the giving up of something, actually means to make sacred. Again, it is the idea of taking the carnal emotions and changing them into the spiritual attributes which we desire. As always, it is the fire of Love for the higher, which does the work.

Chapter 33. A Summary of the Journey from Egypt to Canaan

The Bible narrative tells us that these are the journeys of the children of Israel. They left the land of Egypt under Moses and Aaron, and they pitched their tents in Succoth.

This review of the places through with the children of Israel traveled on their way to the Promised Land may be the way the authors emphasized the importance of those places and their true meaning. this journey is a metaphor for the Spiritual Journey that each of us must follow if we are to arrive at the Promised Land, or Soul Consciousness.

Egypt represents the material, unenlightened life. It can refer to the life we all live before we start on the Spiritual Path or it may be that level of consciousness we fall back to when we flounder. The name itself derives from the Greek for Coptic land. And the Greek comes from the Hebrew, Mizaim. Mizaim in Hebrew means shut in, restraint, misery, tribulation and distress.

Metaphorically, it represents the darkness of ignorance; the flesh consciousness; the material consciousness. It would appear that it is a very good place to leave. However, do not be misled. Egypt is a great kingdom, it is from Egypt that the Messiah is called. It is to Egypt that we must go in times of famine to get “the grain” to sustain us.

In our inner world, it represents our subconscious or unconscious mind. It is the home of our emotions, hidden desires and passions; sexual and otherwise. This is one of the great keys to spiritual understanding. Though Egypt represents much which we consider to be detrimental to our Spiritual goals, it is within Egypt that we will find the kernel or seed of the Spiritual development we seek. For this is where the Soul is to be found.

Chapter 34. A description of the Land to be Inherited

The Lord spoke to Moses and told him to tell the children of Israel what land was to fall to them as an inheritance. He described the borders as follows:

South/the physical - Zin along to Edom and to the coast of the salt sea. It continued on to Kadesh-barnea, Hazar-addar and to Axmon.

West - The great sea. the intellect

North/the emotions - Mount Hor to Hamath to Zedad; then to Ziphron and Hazarenan to Sepham.

East/spiritual right side - From Sepham to Riblah to the side of the seas of Chinnereth and the Jordan to the salt sea.

This is the land which was to be inherited by lot among the none and one half tribes. For the tribes of Rueben, Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan.

The South is bordered by Zin, which means piercing or truth in the original Aromaic of the Bible. Akrabbim means a steep pass. This refers to a mountain pass, which symbolizes a spiritually elevated consciousness of the physical nature (south). Kadeshbarnea means sacred or divine presence. It symbolizes the presence of God.

Hazar-addar means court of the threshing. This is the place where we have sorted out the ‘wheat from the chaff.’ Azmon means strength. This is the strength of the spiritually enlightened. The great sea symbolizes the emotions of the heart. They must be elevated as part of the spiritualization of the whole being.

Mt. Hor indicates a mountain. Mountains, as we said above, symbolize a heightened level of spiritual consciousness. Hamath can be translated as an enclosed fortress or fortification. This relates to the security of the spiritually elevated condition.

Zedad means turning aside. It represents our turning away form the material consciousness and turning to divine inspiration. Ziphon means perfume or a flower garden. It refers to the physical beauty with which we are surrounded when we reached this Promised Land. Hazar-enan means village of fountains and indicates a cleansing or renewal.

Shepham means naked. This is our inner condition when we are prepared for the ultimate spiritual attainment or Illumination. Riblah means abundance. This abundance is what we experience when we become spiritually conscious.

The Sea of Chinnereth is a reference to our emotions, our inner self. Chinnereth means harp or vitality. This is indicative of healthy emotions and inner life, or unconscious. The Jordan, which is a river.the spinal canal, indicates the flow of feelings or thoughts. Jordan itself means flowing or flowing of judgment. The kundalini rising up the spine to judge the 12 tribes, the 12 cranial nerves of the brain.

Finally, the salt sea is again a body of water symbolizing the inner feelings and heart. Salt here symbolizes truth. This means that the emotions are lifted up to truth.

The term inheritance is repeated several times in these passages. It refers to the karmic law of justice. We will reap what we have sown. And so we know that these different aspects of our consciousness, represented by the twelve tribes, had earned the rewards which they received through righteous living.

Finally, their forty-year sojourn (the physical body is gestated in 40 weeks) was coming to an end. At last, they were ready to cross the river Jordan (spinal canal) and enter into the Promised Land (the higher conscious state). But, their trials and difficulties were not over.

They still had to fight the Canaanities (the lower mind thoughts) in order to take possession of the Promised Land.

This is the work of purification and transmutation which had to be completed. The lower thoughts and emotions had to be removed from the land (the consciousness) to make way for the emerging spiritual presence which would rightfully take place.

Each of the twelve tribes represents an aspect of our consciousness and 12 cranial nerves fully energized. When elevated, they contribute to the overall development of our spiritual ideal, the Illumined soul, the Avatar, the Master, the Initiate, the Magus, the Cosmic conscious or those baptized by Fire/kundalini/god.

This forty year journey is one we are all hoping to complete. It is the spiritual journey we who are spiritual Venturers are engaged in. This story tells us of the stumbling blocks to avoid, as well as the rewards for success.

Willy and crazy stuff these bible stories. And we go to CHURCH! Which they know NOTHING of the grandeur of the bible stories. Because "So the Lord did confound their language" In other words they know NOT what they are reading.

"Don't be a minister of the letter"

"All things which are an allegory"

"Don't you understand the dark sayings of old" mythology
"Ah! doesn't he the lord speak in parables" the old testament
"There is a veil over the old covenant when it is read"
Mysteries, secrets, and so forth.

Parables, symbols, allegory, metaphor, all of, mythology.

The alternative is to believe a literal interpretation, and the bible calls that the LETTER that KILLS the spiritual understanding.

Either Moses struck a rock, which brought forth water, performed a magic trick, or it's an allegorical tale about the MIND, you decide.

THE KINGDOM WITHIN

his mythical Jesus did not speak of a kingdom in the sky, he did not speak of a kingdom to be found in religion He was very clear. Luke 17:21 The Kingdom of God is within you.

YOUR PRIORITY

The mythical Jesus placed everything in perspective. He made it clear that the Kingdom of God is within each being. Then he set out the priority for arriving at that Kingdom He did not speak of prayer, he did not speak o church or temple, he did not speak of doctrines or rules and regulations.

After telling us that the kingdom of God was within us he stated our priority in Matthew 6:33 Seek first the Kingdom of God. In other words before you worry about religion, Bibles, scriptures, doctrines, traditions or anything else, you must look within yourself 'for the supreme light, the Kingdom of God.

BUT HOW HOW CAN SUCH A THING BE DONE ?

Jesus was very clear as to how. Matthew 6:22 If your eye be single your body will fill with light. If you activate the pineal gland of the brain in meditation you will make contact with the supreme light, the Kingdom of God.

MEDITATION AND THE SINGLE EYE

So here is the biblical Jesus setting out x priority for salvation that is embraced by so many in tile east and refuted by so many in tile West. Activating the Pineal (:land of the brain in meditation.

The light receptor of' tile body, tile seat of' tile soul. And yet every religion that claims him warns against such meditation. To enter within and activate the single eye, to watch, and separate from the thoughts of the mind, is condemned by Christianity as New Age nonsense. Yet it is the profound teaching of. Jesus.

OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENT

It was not just the Jesus of the New Testament who spoke of the single eye or Pineal (:land of the Brain. Jacob of the Old Testament made the exact same statement in a slightly different way. Genesis 32:30 l have seen God face to face and ! will call this place Peniel.

TO WATCH AND SEPARATE FROM THOUGHT

Jesus was very specific as he instructed relative to meditation and activating the single eye or Pineal Gland of the brain. He instructed in Matthew 6:25 to 6:34 to take no thought. Not to forget your troubles. But to overcome them. Take no thought so that divine thought would enter and correct the course that is causing problems.

Take no thought so that divine thought would provide new direction for all aspects of life. Jesus repeated over and over the admonition to separate from the thoughts of the mind as you meditate and stimulate the single eye.
THE WATCHING MEDITATION

I have instructed you in the technique of the watching meditation. It is a meditation that we always do at the Hidden Meanings conference center.

It is an important part of stimulating the single eye and receiving the higher light: Is it in line with Jesus teachings. He said in Mark 13:37, what I say to you I say to all, watch.

SO WHOSE LORD IS HE ANYWAY ?

Christianity has a difficult time with these teachings of Jesus about meditation, the single eye, and the inner kingdom. Yet they claim the same Jesus as Lord: His response is as follows. Luke 6:46 Why do you call me Lord, and not do the things I say.
NOW YOU MAY RECEIVE THE SUPREME LIGHT

The cosmic Jesus belongs to no religion. Rather the cosmic Jesus is the universal power waiting to enter every living being in meditation by the single eye: Jesus is a mythical being that flows as cosmic light hovering near all and entering within all who will heed the words to find the power of life within themselves.

Entering within all who will heed the words to rise above the thoughts of the lower mind, to focus energy at the center of the forehead thereby stimulating the single eye or Pineal Gland

And when the light moves inwards and circulates inside your being, because there is no outlet left. That's what meditation is. That's what Buddha is doing under the Bodhi Tree.

You sit silently, you close all the doors, and the light circulates within. Then for the first time you become aware of the body and all that the body contains all its mysteries. This small body contains all the mysteries of the universe. It is a miniature
cosmos.

15. 2Cor.4:3,4 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
16. Isaiah 9,10 And he said, Go and tell this people, hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes.

17. Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.

22. 1 cor 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

WHY IS THIS INFORMATION HIDDEN , Why is it a MYSTERY?

The higher ones left this material and deliberately hid it from those who have their own rules and their own agenda. People in religions who use this material to make money and control others are racing around concentrating on the literal stories. They miss out completely.

If they knew the truth they would also prostitute the truth and destroy it for everyone. So it is hidden from them.

If religions are drugs, then Christianity is heroin.

The American Heartland is filled with junkies, and they continue to spread their filth everywhere. It's time for decent citizens to do something about it.

The truth is you've been going to church all your life and haven't learned a darn thing, and no change has overtaken your mind, that's because the so called preachers and deacons don't understand the hidden truths written in the bible by the ancients, going to church truly is the blind leading the blind. Real church is inside of you.

The kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU, (says the bible) not some building or so called church built by man. God has nothing to do with these earthy institutions, they are reserved for the heathen, for god does not dwell in ruined temples (the mentally ill, hooked on religion).

When you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer. Superstition ain't the way."

Stevie Wonder

After Joshua dies, God replaces him with Judah who commences to slay the people in the land of Canaan by the tens of thousands, burning their cities and not allowing any to escape. - Judges 1:1-20

God helped Judah to drive out the inhabitants of a mountain but the ones that lived in the valley had iron chariots and Judah,he (God) couldn't drive them out. In fact, these same people continued to live where they were at that time until the time of the writing of the Bible.

No mention is made of God not keeping his word and letting them utterly destroy these people, nor is it mentioned why having iron chariots was an insurmountable obstacle to an All-mighty God. - Judges 1:19-21

Really Now?

David is given credit for killing the giant Goliath with a slingshot. Actually David knocked him unconscious with a rock from his sling, then he took Goliath's sword and killed him with it then cut off his head. David then carried the head with him back to the city of Jerusalem eventually giving the head to King Saul. - 1 Samuel 17:51-57

Self. There are two Selves in men/women, the Higher and the Lower, the Impersonal and the Personal Self. One is divine (god/good), the other animal devil/evil. A great distinction should be made between the two. Plato

The putting on of flesh periodically and throughout long cycles by the higher human Soul (Buddhi-Manas) or Ego is taught in the Bible as it is in all other ancient scriptures, and "resurrection" means only the rebirth of the Ego in another form. (Vide Theos. Gloss.)

What is it that the narrator knows? That it is all a delusion.

"You know you will die, and yet you think you will live forever. This is Maya. You know that the world is full of miseries, and yet you take delight in the perishable objects and will not leave them. This is Maya. You know that the human body is made up of all sorts of impurities, flesh, bone, urine and fecal matter, and yet you rejoice in embracing it under the sway of lust. This is Maya."

Catholics Ash Wednesday symbolism. And the Phoenix rising from it's own ashes

"Symbolically, ash represents a redeeming death, or rather a state of death that is a prelude to life. In Sai Baba's discourses, the concept often recurs that from the death of the ego, from its being reduced to ashes, man rises to the state of imperishable divinity. By "ego" is meant the complex of passions such as anger, envy, jealousy, lust and ambitions that constitute it, which are the real death of the inner life of people." In fact this is your entire Bible story as well as all other major spiritual teachings.

***************************************************************

Gasklells Dictionary of Scripture and Myth defines MYTHOLOGY thusly.

Mythology contains the symbolism of Divine emanation from the Absolute, and manifestation of spirit and matter in time and space through out the cycle of life.

The symbolism of the origin and growth of the soul, the descent of the spirit into matter in the process of involution, followed by the ascent of spirit from matter in the process of evolution. the symbolism of the five planes of being, and of the higher and lower natures, and of the four soul-bodies, the symbolism of the struggle in the soul/mind between the Divine principle or self and the lower principle (ego). not self.

And yet how strange are these tales! from the very childhood of philosophy, from the first faintly whispered why? To our own time of matured thought and inquiry, mythology has been the ever recurrent subject to ancient wonder and careful study.

Mythology passes for a further indication of a concealed, veiled or secret meaning, that some of these (Greek) fables are so absurd and idle, in their narration, as to show and proclaim an allegory, even afar off.

A fable is supposed to be invented for pleasure, or an imitation of history, but those fables that could never be conceived as real, must surely have a different use.

For example.

What a monstrous fiction is this; that Jupiter would take metis to wife, and as soon as he found her pregnant, eat her up, where he also conceived, and out of his headbrought forth pallus armed? Certaily no moral could, but for the sake of the moral it couches, invent such an absurd dream, so much out of the road of thought.

Jupiter is a symbol of the benefic directive function of the self, which leads, governs and initiates activities that go to the awakenment of ideas in the higher mind.

"I call upon the god jupiter, the brilliant, the glorius, at the time when it is in the form of a bull with golden horns, I call it most" Vendidad

meaning

"I acclaim the self, the fountain of light and truth, in this aspect of the positive, active, function of wisdom, whereby he will awaken aspirations for wisdom and truth in my mind and soul, I hols to MY ideals"

Wife is a symbol of the emotional nature (woman) in alliance with the mind (man).

"Therefore shall a man (mind) leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh" Gen 2:24

The mind (man/Jupiter) recognizing a superior duality within itself, shall quit sense and desire , in it's lower parentage (mother and father) the ego nature. And go in search of the ideal higher emotions (feminine/woman) the twain are one when the mind and higher emotions are harmonius and at peace together.

The word wife has a dual meaning depending on the story it will mean either higher quality emotions (happiness and kindnes/love), or lower emotions, such as screaming, yelling, quarelling, bodily harm and this kind of thing. This wife must be eaten up by the higher rational mind or no upward progress can be made. There has to be a sacrafice.

The sacrificer is the ego manifesting as mind allied with the emotional nature. he seeks the ideal on the Buddhic plane (sky) for the emotion nature in the regenerate soul/mind. When complete union is accomplishes between manas and buddhi, then the supreme goal is attained. "Wives (higher emitions) be in subjection unto your own husbands (mind) as unto the lord. For the husband (mind) is the head of the wife (emotions)" eph 22:23

Jupiter would take metis to wife, and as soon as he found her pregnant, eat her up, where he also conceived, and out of his headbrought forth pallus armed? Certaily no moral could, but for the sake of the moral it couches, invent such an absurd dream, so much out of the road of thought.

Jupiter (mind) would take metis to wife (emotions), and as soon as he found her pregnant (pregnant is a symbol of things being born out of mind, in this case, jupiters wife represents the lower emotions, sin, so the mind must eat, consume this lower thinking), eat her up, where he also conceived, and out of his head (mind/thought) brought forth pallus armed. Pallus represents the egoic lower mind that is armed with all kinds of vileness, notice it was Jupiter himself that brought forth this wicked thing (pallus), from his own head (mind), because of dwelling in the lower emtotions instead of the higher emotions. So he ate her.

The myths of olden time are ALL discussing the state of the MIND.

On the subject of Greek symbolism, Bektor Siljestrom says; The Greek stories are thoroughly symbolical, and the wisdom that speaks from this mythology is so deep and so comprehensive that it is impossible not to see the actual civilization of thousands of years mirrored in it. Revelation and Mythology Wilkimson.

Joseph Campbell

It has been well pointed out that myth and legend are truer than history for they take us to the INSIDE of things, whereas history only shows us the OUTSIDE. Joseph Campbell.

Moral lessons a very different from spiritual truths, it is spiritual truths that mythology is used to convey the timeless. Mythology is the language of the soul and of the mind.

CAMPBELL: Fantasy and imagination is a product of the body. The energies that bring forth the fantasies derive from the organs of the body. The organs of the body are the source of our life, and of our intentions for life, and they conflict with each other. Among these organs, of course, is the brain.

MYTHS are NOT the same thing as a Fable, as bible writers have proclaimed, lumping the word fable together with myth is blasphemous.

Function of Myth

Campbell often described mythology as having a fourfold function for human society. These appear at the end of his work The Masks of God: Creative Mythology, as well as various lectures.

The Metaphysical Function: Awakening a sense of awe before the mystery of being

And then you must think of the various impulses that dominate our life system the erotic impulse; the impulse to conquer, conquest and all that; self preservation; and then certain thoughts that have to do with ideals and things that are held up before us as aims worth living for and giving life its value and so forth. All of these different forces come into conflict within us.

And the function of mythological imagery is to harmonize them, coordinate the energies of our body, so that we will live a harmonious and fruitful life in accord with our society, and with the new mystery that emerges with every new human being namely, what are the possibilities of this particular human life?

And mythology has to do with guiding us first, in relation to the society and the whole world of nature, which is outside of us but also within us, because the organs of our body are of nature; and then also, the guiding of the individual through the inevitable stages of life, from childhood to maturity, and then on to the last gate. And this is concerned with those matters.

According to Campbell, the absolute mysteries of life cannot be captured directly in words or images. Myths are "being statements" and the experience of this mystery can be had only through a participation in mythic rituals or the contemplation of mythic symbols that point beyond themselves. "Mythological symbols touch and exhilarate centers of life beyond the reach of reason and coercion. The first function of mythology is to reconcile waking consciousness to the mysterium tremendum et fascinans of this universe as it is."

CAMPBELL: These can distract us from our own true, deepest being and purpose. And the goal of meditation is to find that inside, and then let that take control. Translate that into Christianity, that is finding the Christ in you. And it's exactly the same idea, and here they call it Christ consciousness; there they call it Buddha consciousness.

Whereas the Christian, with Christ crucified, concentrates on the heroic attitude of living life which is tearing you apart, and finding the one within you, in the midst of the turmoil of the world. You have that in Buddhism also, in the idea of the Bodhisattva the one who has found the eternal within himself, and recognizes it in the world.

And so they have a beautiful term: joyful participation in the sorrows of the world. You accept the sorrows for yourself and for the world, in the realization of what the radiance is that a well lived life can bring forth out of this. These are the same things one in the active, you might say tragic, aspect, and the other in the serene, fulfilled aspect.

CAMPBELL: The context that science is out of. For instance, the theme that constantly occurs to me in the Roman Catholic religion it is dogma to believe that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended bodily to heaven, and that his mother, Mary, in sleep ascended to heaven. OK?

MISHLOVE: I've seen it in television shows. They show him rising up.

CAMPBELL: And you know that going at the speed of light they would not be out of the galaxy yet. And you know what it means for a physical body to go up into the stratosphere.

The Christ idea you put that before you, and it helps you to move to this thing which transcends the Christ idea. Do you understand what I'm saying? The myth is this side of the truth, but it leads you to it.

The word myth has come to mean lie because it is a lie to say that somebody has ascended to heaven. He hasn't. What is the connotation of that metaphorical image? That's a metaphor. And mythology is a compendium of metaphors. But when you understand a metaphor you know, just high school grammar language when you interpret the metaphor in terms of the denotation instead of the connotation, you've lost the message. That's like going into a restaurant and reading the menu and deciding what you're going to eat, and you eat that part of the menu. The menu is a reference to something transcendent of that piece of paper.

CAMPBELL: How do you find the divine power in yourself? The word enthusiasm means "filled with a god," that's what it means. So what makes you enthusiastic? Follow it.
Joseph Campbell

"For it was not mere stories of fancy that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of his majesty." The King James Version uses the word "fable." Charles Williams says they were "not mere stories of fancy." Most other versions use the word "myth." Which is incorrect. it is mythology, and it is describing that the Christ consciousness is very real, that this coming new mind is not mere fancy or fable talk, but a real change in the mind of person.

"For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty" (2 Pet. 1:16).

"For we have not followed cunningly devised fables

In other words it's true it's a real phenomena, but there's a catch.

The eyewitnesses are those that have seen a change come over you after you have been through a kundalini enlightenment experience, this is Christ consciousness, Buddha consciousness, Krishna consciousness, but it's not talking about the eyewitness of a figure outside of your own self, a man coming from heaven on a white horse with a sharp sword sticking out of his mouth, assuredly this is fanciful symbolism, which belongs in the realm of mythology, because mythology is the language used to describe spiritual truths, not fables. But MYTHS.

Humans are not Gentiles and Jews. No one is, because Judaism and Christianity are existed as fake-supreme hoaxes. Humans are scientifically classified as Caucasians, Asians, Africans, Hispanics, Indians, American Indians, and Arabians. Psueo-doctrines of Judaism/Talmud and Christianity/Bible were lethally invented to control humans.

Ancient animals, who once ruled the world a long time ago, were never Jews and Christians. They were known as Dinosaurs of Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. Asteroids or sudden climate change were responsible for pushing dinosaurs into extinction, as much as I hope that Internet will obliterate Jews and Christians sooner than later.

1 Timothy 6:9-10;”But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Why do the jews have all the money then if it's so evil, god's chosen people, and god said right there in the bible that money is the root of all evil, yet his chosen people have most of it.

The question is, IS IT LITERAL?

Religion alone, of all of humanity’s endeavors, can serve as the great ‘conveyor belt’ for humanity and its stages of growth. And religion alone can do this, for several reasons. The first is that the world’s religions are the repository of the great myths. The early stages of development are archaic and magic and mythic in flavor. And these great myths, laid down 3000 years ago, could never be created today, not because humanity has no imagination, but because everybody has a video-camera. Just let Moses try to claim he parted the Red Sea today and see how far he gets.’ (Integral Spirituality, 2006)
