Love thy NEIGHBOR

HOME

Do you love your neighbor as yourself, as the old testament says?

Or as Jesus said;

''A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.''

Do you love "another" as yourself, or your neighbor?

Do you really?

Tell us about it, tell us how you do it.

And what is "another", did he say another person, another human being, what of dogs, cats and cock roaches? Are they "another"

Jesus so loved "another" the swine so much, that he sent evil spirits in them and drowned them all.

So much for Jesus' love of "another", unless "another", means only humans, and that would be ludicrous.

I love my golden retriever more than most people that I meet.

I give her affection, and she gives it back. Is she "another"?

This is going to take up two or three frames here, so Gnash don't get mad. I love you no shit! Not!

Seriously

Should you Love your neighbor, and was Jesus' command a Literal one.

Lets explore this most misunderstood command from Jesus , I have my own thoughts I will add, what I believe it all means, but that doesn't mean that I'm right, it's just my way of thinking.

Then you can tell me what you think it means.

Because, as I have contemplated this, I realized that you CANNOT command someone into love, it has to either be there or not, no amount of scaring me can make love a three toothed toad with webbed feet and man hands.

Hell fire simply won't do it.

''A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.''

This pronouncement, given through Jesus and recorded in John's gospel, seems a bit surprising at first. Why did he call it new?

The command to love one's neighbor as oneself had been given long before, and recorded in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament it has been elevated to prominence by Jesus, as He pronounced it to be equal to the command to love God with heart, soul, mind and strength.

The fact is that some degree of emphasis on love is found in all the great religions. Marcus Bach, director of the Fellowship for Spiritual Understanding, and a long-time teacher in the field of world religions, capsulizes such emphasis in his flier entitled....

Love In The World's Great Religions. It includes these quotes:

In what sense, then, is Jesus' commandment that we love one another even as He loves us a new commandment?

The answer lies in within the meaning of the parable.

So they put the question to Jesus. He replied:

''This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.''

But He was planting the good seed deep in their lives to ponder upon, so that hopefully some time it would sprout, grow, and as He suggested ''bring forth grain, some a hundred fold, some sixty, some thirty.'' (All significant numbers, symbolically, no doubt.)

But to His disciples Jesus said: ''Blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.'' As you and I read the Bible let us ask ourselves: How acute is our esoteric vision and hearing?

Take, for instance, the account given in Mark 4:35-41. It is the story of Jesus and His disciples caught in a severe storm on the Sea or Lake of Galilee. The boat seemed in danger of sinking.

Jeffery Hodson

Jesus was asleep in the stern of the boat, when His disciples, in panic, awakened him. He asked,

Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?'' He is reported to have calmed both the sea and the disciples by His word. Those who look at this as an historical incident sometimes argue as to whether the water becoming calm was a natural phenomenon, or whether Jesus used supernormal power to still the raging waves.

But let us look at it as having an important hidden meaning as an inner happening within us. Let the waters of the sea represent the sea of life over which we are making our life's voyage; the boat, our lower self or body; the raging storm, the emotional disturbances we may encounter; the disciples, the many aspects of our consciousness.

The most important passenger in our boat our life is the Christ within. Why do we wait until some crisis seems to threaten us before awakening this Christ consciousness? But when this Christ life is awakened within us, what power it has to quiet the surging billows of our emotions including the fears aroused by life's threatening storms!

The initiate Paul gives a number of clues about this hidden wisdom. In writing to the church at Corinth he says:

'I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it, and even yet you are not ready.'' (1 Cor. 3:2)

''Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom. We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.

"in a parable he spoke not unto them" That means that everything he said was a parable, a statement that means something else, a hidden meaning, for the mature of minds, not the fickle.

So Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself. Now if Jesus' words are parables, and the bible says that they are, that his words are parables and not Literal, then I ask you, did Jesus mean that you should literally love your neighbor as yourself?

Lets look at the implications of taking such a commandment literally.

First of all real love comes from within each persons heart, and no one, no god in heaven or earth can make someone love another, it's simply an impossibility, and is completely unnatural, to be COMMANDED to love someone, can you love your neighbor if you knew he was a child molester?

And what is a neighbor, what if you live 40 miles out, in the middle of the woods, who would be your neighbor then, and if you live in a subdivision, is your neighbor included as the family two blocks away down on the corner, you know the ones you can't stand to see.

Does your neighbor include Muslims, does your neighbor include all human beings?

Do you see the implications of the commandment love your neighbor as yourself, do you love Osama Bin Laden, is he not your neighbor according to Jesus' statement? What about Hitler, pol Pot, Idi Amin, the hutu leader that slaughtered all the tutsis, we are to love them.

Are beginning to see the problem with this neighbor stuff. There's a fat biker lady that lives three doors down from me, and she weighs in at a bale of cotton about 500 lbs, and more tattoos than a veteran sailor that has gotten a tattoo in every stinking port in the med.

I could not love this woman even if you threatened to burn me at the stake and poke my eyes out, why?

because love is not something that can be commanded, if it is commanded, then it is not real, it is fake.

Do you think that Warchild, and Echoe love me, or gnash, they have called their neighbors all manner of names here in this forum, do they love their fellow NON Christians? I would say no, just based upon the name calling. So they are according to Jesus' not worthy of him.

Jesus said "why do you call me lord lord, and do NOT that what I say"

yet they call him lord.

''A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.''

Who is your neighbor, what is another, and what is love.

Here is the definition of love from the dictionary.

"An intense affection for another person based on familial or personal ties. A strong affection for or attachment to another person based on regard or shared experience or interests. An intense attraction to another person based upon a strong sexual desire."

That's the basic definition of love.

So where does Bin laded, Pol pot, Hitler, George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Chaney and Henry kissinger, etal, fit into this definition?

Well maybe it does for some of you, but certainly not me.

Do you have a strong affection for Charlie Manson, or any other of the sickos in prison?

I have no affection of any kind for any of these people, nor could you command me to, you cannot command something that happens naturally, or else it is not natural, then it is fake.

You can forgive someone for doing a wrong to you, but you don't necessarily develop any kind of love for the vermin that killed your son, daughter or wife in a hold up, this is ludicrous.

But, if we don't lose site of these words, then maybe we can begin to understand what Jesus meant, when he said you must love your neighbor.

''This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.''

So you see Jesus' speaks in parables, because we do not understand.

And since Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself, I propose to you, that based on the above statement that when Jesus commanded you to love your neighbor, that he is speaking in a parable.

Just as he said that if your right hand offend you, cut it off, and if your right eye offend you pluck it out, and so forth, all parables with a deeper hidden meaning. None of it is LITERAL, not one word.

So then back this love your neighbor problem.

When the disciples asked Jesus who the enemy was, he said;

"your enemies are those of your own house"

Now he wasn't speaking of the people that live under your roof, your wife and your children if you have any. What of the people that don't live in houses, they live in apartments, tents, cardboard boxes etc....what about those that live alone, who then would be the enemy of your house then?

So then we must not take the HOUSE as being a house in the ordinary terms, but instead as a metaphor for your own mind, form inside of your own house (mind), arises all of the enemies that come against your spiritual self.

The bible is a spiritual book, not a book about the flesh, but about the light that is in you. Your physical body is simply a machine, like a car that eventually winds up in the junkyard, but the spark or light that is in you, that is the SELF, the self is not the physical body, the physical body is an abomination unto god.

So then if you are to love your neighbor as yourself, and the self is the light, or the soul as religion calls it, then who is your neighbor?

You see you are to love the light that is in you, the particle of light (a photon), that animates that flesh pot of Egypt, this is the true SELF, and it can be none other, for to love the flesh is fleeting, because it gets old and sick, then decays and either winds up in a box or inside a shark, so what is their to love of this gross flesh?

The flesh is of the earth, but the light comes from the cosmos that gave it, it and it alone is non perishable and it alone is precious.

the flesh is not precious, it's an animal, an animal driven by the light that is in it.

You are to love this precious light (soul), that is nesting in that flesh pot of Egypt, so now I get, the light is the self, then when I am commanded to love SELF, it is not the person that I see in the mirror, for this is not the SELF, but the light that is within, this is the true SELF, that is who you are.

So we have answered one critical question, and that what is the SELF, and if your are to love your neighbor as your SELF, then we must define the meaning of the metaphor (neighbor).

Lets have a look at the spiritual definition of the word neighbor, from Gaskells dictionary of scripture and myth.

Neighbor, another

Symbolic of a quality which has as affinity with another quality, these qualities are "neighbors" to each other, they are within you"

The qualities are enjoined to be helpful to each other in the way of development and progress: for it is the actual that must evoke, or awaken, the inner potential, there is no other course.

The neighbors are the internal qualities of your own mind, the intellectual, the emotional and physical natures of us all, and the word neighbor in scripture can mean nothing else.

"and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, know the lord; for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them" Heb v111 Jer xxx1

The personality having become perfected, the higher mental qualities are fully evolved, and ready to unite with the higher self. there is no longer need for educing the potential, for all has been evolved from the less to the greater.

And from max freedom longs huna code.

We see the meaning of "If two shall agree"

your neighbor, another

to agree on something, it would come to pass.

It reads: "Again, I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by my Father which is in heaven." (18:19)

after reading Max Long’s ‘Huna Code’, I understand he may be right when he said that this passage refers to getting the Middle Self to agree with either the Low Self or the Higher self. Or the lower to higher.

So if you can get the just two of the three natures within you to agree on a thing, then you will have it.

Your three natures Biblically speaking are the three kings, they are the physical , the intellectual and the emotional nature.

And we see that in the Daniel.

meshac, shedrach and abednego went into the furnace heated seven times, and the fourth spiritual man appeared in the furnace. the fourth spiritual was symbolic of Jesus, he overcame the three lower forces of your nature.

Sometimes the physical (the pale horse) is upfront, seeking the pleasures and satisfying the cravings of the flesh

At other times, the intellect (the black horse) is upfront reasoning balancing weighing decisions etc...

then yet at other times the emotions are running wild (the red horse), and we all know what happens when we let the red horse take lead.

So within us all are these three main qualities, and the fourth horse, the white horse, which is Jesus, Zeus, Buddha, etc... is waiting to overtake the other three horses.

These internal qualities, the physical, the intellectual, the emotional are then, your NEIGHBORS, your brothers, the other or another.

There is nothing else that is your neighbor or another upon this earth, except those three qualities that are within you.

Sometimes you hate yourself, you say I wish I measured up more, I wish I was more intellectual, god I hate myself, other times you have offended someone with the desires of your flesh, and later regretted it, even hated yourself for it.

Yet other times you have let your emotions get the best of you, and yelled at or screamed at someone, or hurt someone with this red horse.

We have all done this, if you have lived, and are older than 13 years old, you have done bad or regrettable things that you wished you could take back, but unfortunately, once an arrow has been fired, and cannot be stopped, it will hit the intended target.

In short, we have all done things we are not proud of, said things that have hurt others, especially those that we really love (have affection for).

And we hate ourselves for doing these things, and this hatred for ourselves keeps us from attaining a higher state of consciousness, because we feel down we feel not worthy etc...and this state will keep you from ever getting well.

Yet Jesus said if you love your neighbor as yourself, it is only by forgiving yourself 7x7 that you will be able to rise up from this state of stupor , that religion calls sin, you simply made a mistake, it's part of living and learning.

7x7=49 this has a deeper meaning.

But if you don’t forgive that part of you that caused the undesired effect, as your emotions, your intellect (mind), your physical body, then you cannot get two or more within you to agree on anything, then your mind is full of chitta, or chatter, it is not in one accord, your thoughts are scattered.

But is you forgive yourself and begin to develop love for these qualities within yourself that have caused all of the disharmony and hurt, then Jesus, the white horse can come and take these three natures in to the furnace of the, brain the fornax, heated seven times and overtake these three that have caused all of the trouble in your life.

So you see how difficult to really understand Jesus' words, his parables?

''This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.''

You simply cannot be commanded to love other humans, this is impossible and not one Christian that I have ever met qualifies, it is a fake love, not real, and it cannot be, it cannot be commanded to love Osama bin laden or George Bush, regardless of what a Christian might say or believe.

You also have two witnesses within you, that witness your internal welfare at all times.

Scripture says THE TWO WITNESSES prophecied in sackcloth.

The mind and the emotions

11:3 And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 9 days total. Nine is the number of mans lower mind state in Greek mythology and is used throughout the bible.

144000=9 666=18=9 153 fish =9 etc.....nine months of human gestation, is the physical body.

''A new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one
another.''

Takes on a whole new meaning doesn't it?

''When a man causes disfigurement in his neighbor, as he has done, it shall be done to him, fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has disfigured a man, he
shall be disfigured.'' (Lev. 24:l9-20)

''If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, stripe for stripe.'' (Ex. 21:23-4)

Clue

"your enemies are those of your own house"

"But I say to you, 'Do not resist one who is evil. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."

You have heard that it was said: 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'

But I say to you: 'Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.' So that you may be the sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.''

''If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give
him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon
his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with
good.'' (Rom. 12:20-21)

This symbolism of the burning coals is indicating what a profound effect this kind of response may have on others.

In any case, it will have a profound effect upon us as we practice responding to harsh treatment in this way of creative love and forgiveness.

''I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me. If Cain is avenged seven fold, truly Lamech seventy-seven fold.''

Sadly enough, this retributive concept of justice, ''eye for eye and tooth for tooth,'' still prevails in too many parts of the world, and even in so-called courts of justice.

Clue  "your enemies are those of your own house"

Not only this, but even Lamech's concept of excessive retribution is still seen in cases, for instance, where a parent strikes, wounds, and sometimes even disfigures or kills his child as punishment for minor infractions of parental law.

In fact, the thought form of retribution as justice is so strongly ingrained in men's thinking that some theologians still are struggling with the question of how to reconcile divine justice with divine love. This quandary arises not only through a misconception of justice, but of love as well. For love is often thought to be sentimental weakness.

When we have progressed to that level of true knowing, then we are in touch with the truth of Christ, which we become ready to express. Lacking this in the Piscean Age:

''In the Christian Church, men have expressed themselves, not Christ; they have imposed their interpretations of truth on truth itself; they have created a massive organization in
every land but a living organism is non-existent.'' (Rays and Initiations, p. 296)

But as disciples we eventually rise above such entrapments of the lower self. Now His truth becomes our truth. Now we become ready to express His Plan of sharing, of justice, of brotherhood and love your neighbor.

Now, who is your neighbor?

Symbolic of a quality which has as affinity with another quality, these qualities are "neighbors" to each other, they are within you"

What is love?

"An intense affection for another person based on familial or personal ties. A strong affection for or attachment to another person based on regard or shared experience or interests. An intense attraction to another person based upon a strong sexual desire."

"Or your neighbor, which is within you."

Does your neighbor, the neighbor next door to your house qualify for your love?

No, you cannot give something that is not natural, you cannot be commanded to take a bowel movement, it happens when your body is ready, everything is natural including love, to be commanded to love someone against your internal desires is unnatural and leads to mental psychosis, aberration, megalomania and all the things that most Christians portray, as being wholesome, when they are not.

"In a parable he spake not unto them"

"A man is likely to mind his own business when it is worth minding. When it is not, he takes his mind off his own meaningless affairs by minding other people's business." -Eric Hoffer

"some ideas are so stupid that only an intellectual could believe them. "No ordinary man could be such a fool." -George Orwell

"Of all ignorance, the ignorance of the educated is the most dangerous. Not only are educated people likely to have more influence, they are the last people to suspect that they don't know what they are talking about when they go outside their narrow fields" Thomas Sowell

Hope that is built on illusions is only a prelude to delusions.
"If you hold your fire until you see the whites of his eyes, you will never know what hit you". President Franklin D. Roosevelt

''Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world;
he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have
the light of life. '' (John 8:12)

But only if you understand his parable.

If they told you to pray to peter pan, you’d pray to peter pan.

We see the Christians doing the following, right here on this forum all the time. Yeah right!!!

"If someone strikes you on the right cheek, offer them your left cheek"

I don't think so, they will receive a roundhouse kick three times right where that donkey is, crouched between two burdens, the left and right hemispheres of their brains.

HIDDEN MEANINGS SYMBOLIC LANGUAGE IS THERE REALLY SUCH A THING?

Many people who take the Bible literally, cannot conceive of a symbolic language.

Even though the Bible states that it is allegory, symbol, parable etc., they absolutely refuse to accept the existence of a language with Hidden Meanings.

Can't you see the handwriting is on the wall?

Daniel "a hand with no arm writes on a wall, mene mene, tekel uparshin"

Religion sent them a red herring.

Red herring: Misleading clue, dragging fish across a trail, to mislead the hounds.

From the east to the west, from the north to the south, and every Jerk Water town in between: in the old days small towns had no water towers, so the engineers had to jerk water out of a nearby creek to fill the boilers, hence the name jerk water towns.

"They have been fools for not understanding."

Proverbs 1:6

To understand the words of the wise and their dark sayings Until we understand the mystical language, the symbolic language of the East, we will continue to believe that snakes do talk, people live inside of fish, seas part, and a man becomes weak when he gets a hair cut.

All Biblical symbols that reflect deep truths of inner consciousness.

WHY WAS JESUS BORN IN A MANGER?

Because the Sun in its course through the Zodiac is born between Sagittarius and Capricorn, between the Horse and the Goat. Thus the child is born in a stable, or manger.

WHY DID SAMSON LOSE HIS POWER AS DELILAH CUT HIS HAIR?

Again this is a mythological tale. Samson represents you, and me.

The hair represents the spiritual power which grows out of the higher mind.

When this power is cut away by the emotions, (represented by Delilah), we then lose the inherent divine power that enables us to overcome our enemies, (our thoughts).

The enemies of our own house.

You can love that knucklehead of a neighbor that is next door to your LITERAL house if you want, the one that plays stereo music so loud that you cannot sleep, the one that cuts his grass at 6 am, when you're still trying to sleep, the one that has a Harley with straight pipes, and starts it up, then revs the engine for five minutes while you are sleeping, or doing whatever, or the one that won't keep his dog from yapping at all hours of the day or night, or the one that for whatever reason you truly despise.

How about the neighbor from hell, that has one whole car and half another, and that other half looks like it's long over due for trip to the junkyard, and he has for or five 283 and 327 engines on the side of his house, and old transmission lying on the front porch, four yapping dogs, weeds for grass, oil stains all over the driveway, noisy as hell sixteen hours a day, and a wife that looks like Phyllis Diller with three front teeth missing.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another"

If you love this neighbor, who is another.

That's totally up to you, but that's not what Jesus meant, that's not what is meant by the OT admonition.

You cannot love a woman because you are commanded to do it.

You can no more hate another as you can love another, unless is a feeling to go with it.

It's an IMPOSSIBILITY, you cannot be commanded to do anything that is not natural, period.

It is NOT a LITERAL statement.

Moses and Joshua loved all those that they slaughtered in the old testament stories, that's why they killed them all.

And go so loved the world that he destroyed all of man and woman kind off the face of the earth.

And Jesus, the guy that invented Hell, loves you so much that he will send you to this place he invented, if you don't obey him. Now that's real unconditional love for you.

Fear, superstitions, ignorance, the ruffians (priest craft) gave it, and you ate it up.

If a True Christian is your personal flavor of Christianity and most all other Christians are not really Christians, but are really working for Satan (the lower, superstitious, unenlightened mind).

In general Christianity is a cult and a menace to society

All these beliefs are equally stupid, but a religion that ties personal behavior to rewards or punishment beyond death at least serves the purpose of intimidating stupid people into being good. On that account Christianity fails to make that connection and is therefore condones implicitly irresponsible behavior among it's followers.

Christianity is also an ecologically irresponsible religion. Christians believe that Christ is coming back and is going to destroy the world, and therefore it's OK to trash the planet because Jesus is going to destroy it anyhow.

This destruction is going to occur in our lifetime however, we did make it through Y2K and Jesus isn't here yet, and if I were a Christian, I'd be getting pretty nervous that Armageddon is coming any time soon. Nonetheless, Christians don't accept that this planet is a finite ball in space and it's our home (for now) and that we have to keep it clean and livable.

The biggest ecological threat we have is overpopulation. Christianity is the enemy, in general, of responsible family planning, which includes access to abortions and birth control. The church opposes the use of new technologies that empower women to have control and choice as to when they will reproduce.

Christianity considers sex a sin and that pregnancy to be a deterrent to sexual behavior, and to remove the penalty of pregnancy would result in increased sexual activity. However, the church's opposition to birth control, mostly by Catholics, has resulted in overpopulation and has increased famine, disease, and death. Christianity has not been the friend of preserving the limited resources of the planet.

Christianity as a Culture

Christianity is a "we're better than you" religion that openly disdains all other religions, including other Christians. It creates a highly exaggerated sense of self importance that is sustained by the oppression and judgment of others.

Christians see the world as a battlefield where God is at war with the Devil who are fighting this war through human surrogates with Christians as the good guys, and everyone else as the bad guys. And since this is a holy war, all is fair. It is OK for Christians to be dishonest in order to gain power to fight for Jesus.

From the perspective of a non-believer, I see Christians in general as self-righteous, hate filled, and indulging in behavior that is very bizarre. If someone is speaking in tongues, either God is speaking through them, or they are so mentally ill that they are hallucinating that God is speaking through them.

"For no man has heard gods voice, nor seen his shape at any time"

Is God really speaking through them? Well, if God is all powerful, then can't he speak for himself? If not, God has a problem. If so, then the Christian who thinks he's speaking for God has a problem. The bottom line is, Christianity is a cult. (Actually, thousands of related cults) And as a culture, it is ridiculous.

Christianity is a poor spiritually dead religion and I'm tired of dealing with these in-your-face brainwashed nincompoops who mistakenly believe that they are God's chosen people.

They are loonies, and in need of an inoculation for the disease that they carry around in their brains.

Nietzsche said:

"The new testament is the gospel of a completely ignoble species of man. Christianity is the most fatal and seductive lie that ever existed."

"Nothing has done more than Christianity to entrench the morality of mediocrity in human consciousness."

"Christian love extols qualities of weakness; it causes guilt.

Charity is just teaching hatred and revenge directed toward nobility."

"Belief in God is a tool to bring submission to the individual of noble character." F. Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

Christianity is as much based on culture as it is on dogma. Christian culture is rooted in the belief that you're better than everyone else. That because Christians are forgiven, they are "washed in the blood of the lamb".

They are chosen, going to Heaven, while the rest of us are going to burn in Hell. Christians are "morally superior" to the rest of us because "God is on their side" and the rest of us are "tools of Satan" we are "unclean" and we are "evil" while they are "clean" and "good".

They believe the bottom line is, "we're good, they're evil" and therefore the rest of us are below subhuman heathens. And they will tell you this to your face. And it's OK if they do it, but is someone says that "Christianity is a cult for weak minded people" My God! You're persecuting Christ!

Christian go to church mostly for the purpose of reinforcing their beliefs in their own self-righteousness and moral superiority.

There they can show off their "faith" in front of their fellow worshipers and participate in cult membership rituals so that they can feel secure that they are an accepted member of their tribe. It allows them to reaffirm their beliefs through mutual ego masturbation, where members reaffirm to each other that they are God's chosen few.

"Mothers ye shall dash your babies against rocks, and eat the first born of your daughters" "and fathers ye shall eat the first born of your sons"

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. Gods commandment mind you!

Isaiah 13:15-18 If God can find you, he will "thrust you through," smash your children "to pieces" before your eyes, and rape your wife. Here God will rape your wife after killing your children.

Duet: The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

A person turning into a pillar of salt, worms smoting gourds, smoting mind you, wow that’s a scary word, a man living in a big fish for three days and then puking him out, then he becomes a minister, the sun and the moon standing still, the sun turning black as sackcloth.

And god gets turned on by the smell of fillet Mignon cooking in the desert.

God commanding people to eat baked dung cakes, and give God your first Born's, he loves the blood and fat of them, a beast with seven heads and ten horns rises from the sea.

BUT WAIT ! It says

EZ:20 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables?1 Cor. 3:2 ''Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom. We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God.

Oh ! these are parables and hidden wisdom, Mythology, now I get it.

Why then hasn’t religion told me this, why hasn't your average soap box TV evangelist or corner church, black collar wearing minister told us this?

Because they haven’t a clue, they've scarcely even read the bible, so how could they possibly know, much less teach you anything?

Consciously or unconsciously, a figure-of-speech begins as a communication device for getting someones attention: to intrude into their mind and relay a message; and then goes on to become an accepted and habitual part of the vernacular. This is how the bible gets your attention, by speaking to you in figures of speech.

Now, I have an axe to grind with you, should I get my grinder?

And all the while you have been saying to yourself, when is this guy going to shut up already!

"To love the Lord with all your heart" Simply means to do as I say, If you love me, you love the higher idea, the higher mind.
