For those that have eyes, what you are reading in this Ezekiel account is a person (you), peering into their own subconscious mind.
The bible writers were extremely clever, in covering up the true true meaning, except for those that eyes to see and ears to hear.
The entire bible is a mind book, talking about three states of consciousness, As one caught up to the third heaven, the third ventricle of the brain.
In order to understand the following verses it is important that the student of Mythology understand that the ancient writers used the four cardinal directions, North, east, south and West to describes the state of one's mind, and man's fourfold nature.
The subconscious, the intellectual, the physical and the emotional.
The city (your brain) lies foursquare, because of the four directions and the four quadrants of the zodiac, it's just symbolism describing the brain cavity.
The Fixed Signs
The four great beasts or Tetramorphs described in the Book of Revelations are the four fixed signs of the zodiac.
As for the likeness of their faces, they each had a human like face of a man (Aquarius) , the face of a lion (Leo), the face of an ox ( Taurus the bull) and the face of an eagle (Scorpio)

Eagle, Scorpio, Water, Dan, North/Subconscious
Man, Aquarius, Air, Reuben,South/conscious or emotional

Do you see that the vision is the four cardinal points of the zodiac, it should be clear by now.
The four corners are the four quadrants.
They are holding the four winds of the earth.
The four winds stand for the energies of the four centers of the lower self (or lower quaternary) which blow out of control and are destructive unless they are held under the control of the four angels of positive spiritual energy.
And we see the four winds are a symbol of the quaternary, the four lower planes of manifestation.
"Therefore give thou into me bliss and thy peace: that the grasping of the four winds may knit together my parts" Book of the dead.
The full control of the four planes, higher, mental, astral and physical, which are the means of evolution for the soul, it serves to knit together the nature which is to be expressed under manifold aspects.
"Come unto me, O thou of the four winds, almighty one that the breathes the spirit into man and giveth life"
The soul seeks union with the self incarnate within the lower nature (four planes), who emanates the spirit into the aspirant.
The four winds are held back for a time, because the personality is not yet ready for complete transformation into the higher plane, more work (meditation) is needed, before the full manifestation of the spirit comes into the earth (you).

Some researchers show a slightly different relationship between the actual tribes and the twelve constellations, but it doesn't matter, because in the long and short of it, it is referring to the twelve signs of the zodiac, and that's all that is really important to know.
In your brain
There are three gates to the east, three gates to west, three gates to the south and three gates to the north, these gates are the twelve cranial nerves of the brain, which the energy flows through, to bring about your enlightenment, as the energy from the twelve signs of the zodiac , rises up the spine to the brain.
So far we have the twelve thousand of each of the twelve tribes.
Twelve thousand X twelve thousand= 144,000
Which still equals NINE, nine which is the physical is saved out of this mess as the mind becomes spiritualized, and your thoughts about the world, your fellow man and reality change.
Ok keep in mind that the GATES to the city which is always the brain, are your 12 cranial nerves.
The numbers tip you off every time as to what the scriptures are talking about.
So lets look at what Ezekiel did and saw.
Eze 8:1
And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, [as] I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
First we see the numbers six +6+5 this equals 17, and of course this reduces to the number sis again, the number of man.
They sat in his house, this is meditation, Judah is the tribe of light in the bible, because their number is 186,400, which is the constant speed of light.
The hand of the lord means that his consciousness is about to be overturned by the higher consciousness from above, the light.
Eze 8:2
Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.
The loins are a symbol of the desire mind for obvious reasons.
This is symbolism describing the purifying spark of god upon the waking human consciousness.
Eze 8:3
And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where [was] the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
Here we see Ezekiel being led by the spirit of god, taking him by the lock of hair, between heaven and earth, this is reference to the high state of meditation. he was taken to the Inner gate, this is the pia mater of the brain, and he looked NORTH, and what did he see?
His very own subconscious mind, the contents therein, this mind is jealous of the fact that it is about to lose it's power to the higher conscious state.
Eze 8:4
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel [was] there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
Eze 8:5
Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
The son of man means the renewed mind, or the energy that will renew the mind in meditation, again he went northward, towards his subconscious mind, this is when one begins to have thoughts while in meditation, the mind wanders, taking you out of the No thought state.
Eze 8:6
He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? [even] the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations.
First Is Ra El, means someone that is in meditation

Is reached when one becomes a JEW, one goes inward, the word jew, is from the egyptian jeu, which means to go within, the u was changes to a w at some point.
Jacob is involved in a spiritual wrestling match. This is the struggle that goes on within us in our meditation to finally touch the higher or God light. Jacob prevails when he separates from physical desire which is symbolized by his thigh being put out.
Jacob then becomes Israel. IS Isis female RA Ra male, EL El Elohim God.
The full power of God , male and female in the supreme light.
The great abominations seen by the house of Is Ra El.
The abominations are all the creepy crawly things and flying things of the subconscious mind. All of your fears, guilt etc...
This is the viewing of one's own subconscious. This takes one completely back out of the meditative state once we start thinking about the things we have done, and it pulls a heavy cart.
Eze 8:7
And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
The door of the court is a symbol of the inner court or pia mater, one looked into a hole in a wall, this is the subconscious mind with all of it's content.
The hole is a symbol of a leak, one that cannot keep the mind still in their meditations.
Eze 8:8
Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
The son of man, is the higher consciousness, this higher ideal is to dig a hole, in other words dig up these things that are a hindrance to you in your meditation.
Eze 8:9
And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
Again, we see Ezekiel going into his own subconscious mind and seeing all of those creepy crawly things, the skeletons in our closet.
Eze 8:10
So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.
The wall is the circumference of the inside of the brain, the inner court or pia mater, the house of Is Ra El are those that are trying to achieve enlightenment, but the creepy things in the subconscious hampers one's progress.
Eze 8:11
And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
Seventy men are a symbol of the 7 Elohim or 7 spirits of god that are in the chakras, the censor of course is the spine, and the incense is a symbol of the higher conscious state.
Eze 8:12
Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
The son of man, the higher consciousness sees what you do, in the chambers of your imagery, your meditation. these 7 spirits judge you on the basis of your subconscious content. The lord has forsaken the earth (you), because you cannot stay in meditation, because of your internal mind chatter.
Eze 8:13
He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
Again there are greater abominations to see in this subconscious viewing.
Eze 8:14
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which [was] toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
The north is the subconscious, women weeping are a symbol of the minds or mind, and the mind weeps for Tammuz, tammuz is the Sumerian vegetation god.
it means that the mind weeps because of all it has seen, the things that are buried in the ground of the subconscious, this is tammuz, everything that goes down must come up.
Eze 8:15
Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
More creepy crawly things yet.
Eze 8:16
And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, [were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
This is when the energy (the kundalini) is entering into the brain at the third ventricle, the porch and altar is a symbol of this part of the brain cavity, which is the fornax of the brain, the facing east.
They faced east with their backs towards the temple, east is the right hemisphere of the brain, this is the side that your enlightenment comes from.
5 and 20 breaks down to the number seven.
This is the seven spirits, or energy heated by the seven chakras.
Eze 8:17
Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Eze 8:18
Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, [yet] will I not hear them.
The last two verses means that the higher consciousness from above (the son of man) abandons you because of your constant thinking and digging up the things that are in the mind, while in meditation. The land was filled with violence, because of all of the thoughts that you allowed to stream into your mind during meditation, these thoughts are violent to the mind/brain.
But the lord will deal with these thoughts with his fury and come against them. In other words if you hold fast to your meditation, these mind ramblings will be shut down, so that you may resume the silent state of mind.
"And they stood still while the lord slew their enemies" the thoughts that hover in the outer realms of consciousness.
And where does the bible say that the armies will attack Israel from, the NORTH.
In other words the thoughts that arise out of the mind during meditation, come against you (IS RA EL), and keep you from attaining the higher state of consciousness.
Ez 38:15
"You will come from your place, out of the remote parts of the NORTH, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding horses, a great army...."
Do you see?
This army that is coming from the NORTH, is all the contents of your subconscious mind while you are in meditation.
Tubal, Gog, Magog, Shedrach, Meschac, Cush and Put, Prince of Rosh etc... are all describing the thoughts that arise out of lower mind thinking.
They are NOT countries, but thoughts that arise out of the hole in your wall (subconscious).
The lord (the higher consciousness) is against these enemies and comes against them.

Who could ever say that the bible is not the greatest book of poetry ever written.
To come up with this kind of mythology describing the mind during meditation, took a great deal of understanding about such matters, and a little bit DMT added to the mix for good measure, made for a great and completely misunderstood story in the Bible.

So there I was pondering about differences in religion across the globe when I realized that if I didn't follow someone Else's religion, then I'm going to hell.
Well that sucks. I decided to calculate my odds of going to hell and find the best way to avoid swimming in a lake of fire for eternity. So without further ado, here is my rundown of world religions and reasons why I'm going to hell.
Religion Name: Christianity
Chance You'll Be Tormented For All Eternity For Screwing Up: 95%
Famous People of This Religion: Sir Isaac Newton (invented gravity), Blase Pascal (invented PASCAL), those fat white guys with puffy red cheeks who are always yelling on network TV.
Brief Description: Christians believe in an old book called "The Bible" which can be found in the sock drawer of many motels across America. The Bible is so old that if you went out and looked for the original copy, you would probably never find it (even if you looked on Amazon.com).
This book is a collection of crazy stories, fan mail sent into Jesus by people in his club, and the overall theme that Jesus was a great guy and all of us, by comparison, are pathetic jerks. Christians believe that Jesus is God's son and therefore God has a magic penis because he somehow caused a virgin woman gave birth to Jesus. This is kind of a scary thought, which is why many Christian leaders hate homosexuals and refuse to talk about God's penis, even in the Confessional Booth.
JESUS: "Do you believe in Myself and My Holy Father?"
DIRT FARMER: "Oh yes Jesus, my family and I worship You all the time!"
JESUS: "Excellent. I will now kill your family and give you the plague and make all your crops die and then you can reflect on how much you love Us."
DIRT FARMER: (Happy) "Praise Jesus!"
That was only in the Old Testament though, which is like "Bible: Episode I." The Old Testament was really cool and it featured such hits as the Book of Ezekiel, which I believe was about Martians or maybe time travel. In the New Testament, Jesus turned into a real pansy and didn't do much smiting.
He just walked around and said nice things to people until a group of Roman soccer hooligans killed him. Then there's some magic ghost called "The Holy Spirit" which flies around and shoots lightning or something. So essentially, Christians believe in a three-headed beast composed of God, His son, and a ghost, which rule over everything and solve mysteries in their free time.
Like any good religion, Christians tend to believe that essentially anything you do will cause you to go to hell. By default, we're all going to hell because Jesus got killed for our sins. So to make it up to Him, His Father, and the Holy Lightning Ghost Spirit, we must do a bunch of boring and repetitive crap all the time and torture ourselves out of guilt for Jesus.
There are certain days when we're supposed to eat Holy crackers and Holy wine (Communion) and days when we're supposed to be miserable and think about how we'll never be able to amount to 1% of Jesus and how we're probably all going to hell (every day).
If you don't dip your kid into a pool of water after he's born, he will go to hell and you probably will as well. If you have sex before marriage, you and your significant other and your kids will go to hell.
If you don't cut off your body parts that cause you to sin, then you're going to hell. If you don't Anoint the Sick then you'll go to hell. I don't even know what Anointing the Sick consists of. I think you have to go out on weekends and give Advil to lepers. I'm not sure where the lepers in my city hang out. Maybe in the trailer park that has the three broken 7-Up machines in front.
Summary: Although there are three major players in this religion, there is still a very high chance that you'll be punished for all eternity. Quantity certainly does not equal quality, except I think that the more money you donate to the Christian church, the better chance you'll have at getting into Heaven. Poor people and minorities are not welcome.
Religion Name: Orthodox Judaism
Chance You'll Be Tormented For All Eternity For Screwing Up: 98%
Famous People of This Religion: Robert J. Avrech (helped Brian De Palma make crappy movies), Dr. Laura Schlessinger (woman who yells at pregnant white trash over the phone), most of the people from the smash hit Melanie Griffith movie, "A Stranger Among Us."
Brief Description: It's hard to summarize all Orthodox Judaism groups because there are about 100,000 of them and they keep growing by the minute.
While they disagree with a bunch of major policies (Zionism, cooperation with non-Orthodox Jews, in what sinister ways they can rule the world and control all the money and gold and diamonds and cubic zirconium), they all agree that they should dress really funny and be very comical.
I'm poking fun at Orthodox Jews because I'm fairly sure that it's against all their laws to use or even look at the Internet, so I'm relatively safe from getting hatemail from "supah_ortho_jew19029@aol.com."
In order to distinguish themselves from the rest of the non-Orthodox Judaism population, these religious fellows have adopted a lifestyle that many of us find to be very silly, although I'm fairly sure they don't feel the same way. This includes:
Prohibiting women from having their arms or legs exposed because this promotes unclean thoughts. Since women aren't allowed to work (except in the kitchen and birthing room), they are given complimentary parkas and scuba diving suits to hide all their appendages.
Forcing all members to have huge beards and sidebrows. If you are unable to grow a long beard, you are given an Abraham Lincoln fake beard and are required to wear it until you die, at which point it is passed on to your heir.
Requiring all members to wear a lot of black, silly hats, and demanding they never smile (even if they hear a very funny Orthodox Jew joke). They are kind of like goths in this way, only without the Geocities "dark poetry" web pages.
Orthodox Jews spend all day studying the Torah, observing Orthodox Jewish law (which consists of over 150,000 different rules), and brushing up on various other required reading material. When they are not studying, they are either sleeping or not talking to their wives.
Their ancient Jewish Law is written in Hebrew, a language which looks like the symbols from Ultima IV only they don't shoot large fireballs (In Vas Flam).
Orthodox Jews separate themselves from the rest of society by living in large groups that have their own secret stores and secret codes and secret handshakes. Another trademark of this religion is their really silly music which sounds like a cross between the polka and a Mexican Mariachi band on crank.
If there is ever a major crime in the Orthodox Judaism community, they will not let outsiders come in to solve it unless they slowly but surely adopt their principles and ideals, a process which takes roughly 19 years to accomplish.
Summary: While this religion certainly has its positive points (secretly ruling the world and all its monetary reserves), it does contain some very defining negative aspects (everything else). Unless you enjoy a lot of facial hair and spending 19 hours a day in a musty library full of old books, you should probably skip this one.

Famous People of This Religion: Tupac Shakur (drug-using rapper who was shot to death), Mohammed Ali (badass boxer), many people who have blown themselves up with bombs to prove how much they enjoy Islam.
Brief Description: The basic belief of Islam is that there is just one important God, not multiple weird things like Christians or anybody who really liked the Three Stooges. While they share a common bond with Jews, the Muslims and Jewish people really hate each other for many vague reasons.
I think the primary cause is because the Jews think The Torah is the best book in the world, whereas the Muslims think the Koran is the best book in the world. It's like those people who argue on forums about the Play station 2 being better than the X-Box, except these people will stab each other to death just to prove their point.
They feel that Jesus, who was a lot like Moses and Muhammad, was trying to encourage the Jews to adopt his policies regarding how they should act, but the Jews denounced him and screwed up big time. As a result, the Koran wisely advises all Muslims to kill non-Muslims like Jews, Christians, Mormons, plumbers, Moon People, and Big Bird. This "killing" thing really causes a rift in the whole inter-religion community thing.
Muslims also have a belief system which they feel is more based in science, not some nonsense that a traveling Son of God talked about when he was smiting people and forcing others to kill goats and smear the blood on their doors to prove how much they loved Him. For example, the Koran supports the "Big Bang" theory, as shown in this except from the Koran:
"Quran 21.3 Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were meshed together but We have torn them apart? And then We have made of water everything living? Would they still not believe? Also, kill the Jews."
The Koran is the "Big Book O' Rules" for the Muslims, the pure, untainted, 100% pulp-free version of the Bible as was told to Prophet Muhammad. They feel the Bible is kind of messed up and wrong in some parts, like when Paul sent Jesus some contradictory fan messages to his website, talking about "hearing sound but not seeing light," which he later changed to "not hearing sound but seeing light."
This, therefore, completely invalidates the Bible and makes the Koran #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List. God apparently said some stuff to his Prophets, guys like Noah and Moses (the two people who collaborated to build the Ark), but what he told them was kind of wrong or something. Maybe God was loaded when he was chatting with them.
Regardless, the only person who really knows the truth about everything was Prophet Muhammad, who was smart enough to record God's teachings on tape cassette. The cassettes are no longer available, but copy-proof CDs are available through BMG Entertainment.
Another fundamental feature of Islam is throwing rocks at people. If you break any one of their strict laws, you will be executed by having rocks thrown at you until either you die or they run out of rocks. The Shari`ah, which was not an alien race in Star Trek, recommends harsh penalties for anybody convicted of murder, personal injury, theft, kissing in public, thinking about the color pink, double-parking, or failing to jump over the flaming barrels in Donkey Kong.
These punishments include public stonings, crucifixion, chopping off a hand or foot, or banishing the criminal to a post-apocalyptic desert area where they must fight radioactive mutants and raiders in dune buggies. Women are also required to wear an intricate series of holy towels and scarves so no male can differentiate them from a pile of moving rugs.
Summary: Although there is a better chance of you ending up in Heaven, there's also a better chance of you being murdered to death for really trivial crimes such as spitting in public after arguing with the umpire's call.
Based on the already ridiculous length of this article, even though there is some quality humor residing within, I am only giving brief descriptions of a few more religions.
Religion name: Hinduism
Brief Description: There are a whole bunch of Gods and you can pretty much do whatever you want as long as you wear the right clothing. There are a lot of Hindus in India, but not quite as many in Indiana. Oh yeah, there's also that thing with the red dot on your head which makes it look like a SWAT team has you targeted in their laser scope.
Religion Name: Buddhism
Brief Description: Just chill man, and don't like freak out about anything dude. It's bad karma man, and you just need to cool out unless you want to be reincarnated as a sloth or filthy anteater. If you're a really good Buddhist, you'll reach Nirvana, which is a large atrium in Canada that houses the ghost of Raoul Julia.
Religion Name: Scientology
Brief Description: Aliens traveled to our planet and got blown up, forcing their spirits to roam around and haunt us because their leader is trapped deep inside a volcano, and the only way we can get rid of them is by understanding this idea. The movie "Final Fantasy" was based off this concept, although the estate of L. Ron "Ronny" Hubbard has not sued Square Inc. Yet.
CONCLUSION
Based on this in depth analysis of worldwide religion, going to hell is inevitable unless you're atheist, cuz they don't believe in hell. This just isn't very motivating. I think I'll turn this around and leave everyone with a positive mental state. Everybody is going to heaven.
That's right everyone, even atheists. Atheists? Yes, atheists. I can prove it. Everyone gets to go to heaven and worship God/Allah/Jesus/Xenu/Charleton Heston. And since an atheist's hell is to be disassociated with God, his hell will be in heaven living with the big guy.
I don't know about you all, but I think I'll just stay here and be the supreme allied fuhrer emperor tsar commander of Earth and rule over the lions and gerbils while they bring me grapes and tell me jokes. That's living baby.
” In the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, Jesus states, "The Kingship of Heaven is within you and without you, and any man who knows himself shall find it." This instruction and others by Jesus seem quite explicit – Heaven is not a "place" that man's "soul" travels to after death, nor is it a realm to which only a few are granted entrance after a favorable judgment. The Kingship of Heaven can be accessed IMMINENTLY, and all anyone need do to find it is "know himself."
But watch out for the enemies from the NORTH.
In order to overcome all the junk in our subconscious minds (NORTH), we must still the mind in meditation, and cease to think on these things, or they will forever come against your higher pillows. We all have things in the subconscious that we are not proud of, bad things we have said to others, things we did wrong, because we were immature and didn't have understanding, religion calls these sins, they are simply mistakes, all we have to do is ask the universe for forgiveness, and move on, quit giving these things any of your energy, there gone, they are in the past. Jesus said, "if your right hand offend thee cut it off".
It doesn't mean to literally cut off anything, it means to cut off the sensory current to the thing, quit giving in to it, quit thinking about it, it's over, cut off, today we say "cut it out" this is a similar meaning.
Tubal, Gog, Magog, Shedrach, Meschac, Cush and Put, Prince of Rosh etc... are all describing the (EGO), and the thoughts that arise out of the subconscious content of one's own consciousness. They will pull you down every time, they truly are YOUR ENEMY.
"Mothers seize your babies and dash them against the rocks" These misguided thoughts are to symbolically dashed against the rocks. Buddha said to take these negative thoughts that arise out of one's subconscious and see them burning up in a flame, you are to do this as a mental exercise only. But it has the same meaning as Jesus statements about cutting things off. If one continually dwells in the North country, in remembrance of all of those creepy things, those flying things, those abominations in there, how then can one become enlightened, you can't. You have to stop giving those things energy.
Jesus understood that we are only human, and we have animal passions, and that these animal passions have caused much harm to ourselves and our friends and relatives, but if DON'T do as Jesus and Buddha said, then you will become depressed, and you eat like a pig and get fat, you will go to the doctor and he will put you anti depressants like SSRI's and Benzodiazepines. Then after being on these things for a while, you will have wished you had heeded Jesus and Buddhas teachings about the mind, because these things will destroy the mind.
This really boils down to the cleansing and healing of the chakras, because it is in the chakras, that your consciousness is held, that's where it is. The book of revelations is about opening and overcoming the lower aspects of these seals or chakras.

The battle is in the MIND.

Total of the numbers is FIVE, the five senses that must be overcome in meditation, the numbers give the answer every time in the bible.
5:22 For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads (lower animal nature) until the captivity.
God, the higher consciousness stole their animals (your animal nature).
5:23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
5:24 And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
5:25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them. (The lower physical senses).

All mythology describing god killing out the lower ego mind, describes as Gadites etc....
very clever those Bible writers.
1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise."
Is wisdom a good thing?
1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
"It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
God saves fools and is pleased with their foolishness.
