Jacob and Esau switched birthrights, why?

We are ALL born Esau and must switch the birthright to Jacob, the higher mind

Never read the bible LITERALLY, it is a spiritual book written in allegory

This Guy Adam Green at know (no) more news keeps reading the Jacob Esau story as literal, even though I sent him this page, he refuses to see the story as the allegory that it is. SAD.

What is a slave in allegorical scriptures like the bible.

Slave: A symbol of subjection to the lower nature with it's desires, passions and sensations. When you are kept at bay or held back from  displaying a higher quality mind, these things that come from your ego or lower desires, they become your slaves, your are held captive by the lower mind.

You are to keep slaves unto yourself because you must exercise control of these forces within you. You cannot throw these things away they are part of your nature, but you must transmute these forces within you, so keep them captive until they have been transmuted, translated, reformed etc...

Parables and Paradoxes Meanings Hidden, Yet Obvious

"All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world" (Matthew 13:34-35)

Cor 3:14

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil not taken away in the reading of the old covenant.;

Kill all that work on the sabbath, what does it mean?

EXODUS 31:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel ( those that are climbing the MT of attainment ), saying, Verily my Sabbaths ( sabbath means 7 ) ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death, everyone or "whoever" is a symbol any negative thoughts that may arise in meditation , because the sabbath is the opening of the crown chakra, the work is done in six days, meaning that the energy has impacted the pineal gland, the sixth day of creation, yet the seventh day is the day of the lord, the crown chakra fully opened, any thoughts that creep in during this state of high meditation shall be out to death.

"Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy."

"Six days shah thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work." (Exodus 20:10).

Six days of the week belong to us, but the seventh day belongs to God."Thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger/alien that is within thy gates."

"For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it" (Exodus 20:11).

"And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day" (Deuteronomy 5:15)."

This is the Sabbath WITHIN you.

8." but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates.

Who is the alien within your gates?

It is the energy that has been lying dormant in your solar plexus your whole life, it has now risen to the brain, and here it is referred to as the alien.

"(gates are logic circuits of your brain) The twelve cranial nerves, where the kundalini enters the fornix (furnace) of the brain.

THE ALIEN within your gates is the solar plexus energy mixed with spinal oil, headed for the fornix (furnace). When the energy enters the third ventricle (the mercy seat) it lights, just like a real furnace pilot light, and you meet God.

Jesus has a kundalini.Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.

This is the Kundalni

Genesis:32:30 Jacob sees God face to face, and Jacob named the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Rev.22:4 - And they (the servants of the Lord) shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads ( a symbol of the higher consciousness ). here we see the pineal gland mentioned again.

The peniel gland is the bodies light receptor. Stimulated in meditation releases melatonin. The oil rises from the lower spine to the pineal gland and lights in the fornax, or furnace, you see God face to face.

If thine eye be single, thy body will fill with light. The single eye is the pineal gland. old english spelling was peniel. The energy rises through the 7 nerve centers called chakras.

Exodus 20:1-17

7 chakras or nerve centers, seven seals, seven churches of Asia etc.

The entire Bible, every story, from end to end is inside your head, it is an account of mans evolutionary progress out of the gross material matter of the animal quality of his soul, to the higher spiritual mind, from above ( the universe).

EX 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever (neighbor) doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Some bibles have the word neighbor in place of whosoever, the neighbor is the left hemisphere of the brain, when one is receiving enlightenment from the east or right side, the left brain is under going a transformation, if the neighbor (the left) speaks (works) it shall be put to death, just a symbolic way to describe that any thoughts that arise from left brain activity will be shutdown.

The spiritual definition of SABBATH

The symbol of the state of conditions of the joining of the higher cosmic consciousness within the soul.

"Then shall the land (brain/mind) enjoy her (mind/spirit) Sabbaths, as longs as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies land (lower thoughts, Egypt) even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her Sabbaths (unity consciousness).

As long as it lieth desolate it shall have rest; even the rest which it had not in your Sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it" Duet 14:34

Then shall the general outspread life of the soul enjoy the Buddhic consciousness during the periodic spiritual states when it is without the sensations, passions, and desires of the lower qualities, being relative and unreal, are non existent (in enemies land). Even then shall the indrawn life partake of the bliss.

As long as it is without the opposites it shall have peace (from the turbulent emotions), which it had not in the periodic material states when the lower qualities were in the stress and suffering of life.

"These sabbaths (of Lev 13) are seven Pralayas between seven manavantaras or what we call rounds" blavatsky the secret doctrine.

If it says that no one is to work on the sabbath, then why dud jesus heal on that day against the command? When the kundalini has reached the brain, the work is finished, to be put to death, is the death of the lowerslef or ego.

Mark 3

3:1 And he (jesus) entered again into the synagogue (the brain/mind, center of ones consciousness); and there was a man (the rational mind still under the ego) there which had a withered hand (hand is a symbol of the direction of mind).

3:2 And they (the pharisees, the lower mind) watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day (the crown chakra opened, one of god consciousness); that they might (the lower mind) accuse him.

3:3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. The withered hand is the higher mental faculties that have taken a left turn and abandoned the spiritual path

3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

The hand which is the directing principle of the higher mental faculties has reached out to the higher and has been restored, this happens when you take NO thought in meditation.

3:6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Jesus and the father are ONE, the sabbath represents the great day of the lord, the mind being brought into unity, the higher consciousness (Jesus) heals the withered hand ( the mind under the direction of the lower or left brain HERODIANS), the ego fighting back again, as the higher power is busy eliminating it, and stripping the ego of it's final coats and cloaks, the coverings of the ego. jesus can work on the sabbath, because it is the one doing the healing of the mind, it's the lower mind Pharisees that will always rebel, and of course it tries to destroy Jesus, the higher principle.

Pharisees

A symbol of the state of mind which produces literalism, formalisms and dogmatism.

13:31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

THREE, the physical, the intellectual and the emotional mind meshac, shedrach and abednego.

The literalists are afraid of true interpretations of scripture, it is there teachings that are inside of us, as jesus said we are saturated with the teachings of the pharisees, the teachings of those lower minds, the ego adheres to these false ideas, as they are held within the consciousness of us that have heard these things our whole lives, so in this sense, the ego in it's inward spiritual sense is a type of Pharisee.

"Herod the fox" is a reference to the sense-nature as a hole or "bottomless pit" in which the lower principle "Herod" lives within each one of us.

Then comes the blaming of Jesus for healing on the sabbath and other accusations, and his eventual crucifixion, see Jesus not crucified Literally, elsewhere.

It's much better to understand the true nature of these texts, instead of the letter that kills, then we can understand the true meaning of these timeless pearls of dark sayings.

"like a beautiful seedling hidden away within a rough and ugly husk, through which it must break in order to achieve itself, our divine self hood has been hidden and compressed within material conditions. Consciousness has had to use first one kind of vehicle and then another, and as the vehicle so has then another, and as the vehicle, so has been the quality of the self-expression" Joseph Campbell

Image of god

This expression signifies a projection of the divine nature on the two highest planes of the soul, and constitutes, when united with mind, the archetypal man energized with the truth from above. "And god said let us make man in our image, after our likeness"

What is this image?

It is the mind of god (the higher consciousness).

The Platonists called Dionysus, "our master" for the mind in us is Dionyaiacal and the image of Dionysus. Illiad.

The image is not a physical image, but a spiritual image, or the mind.

"The east wind (spirit) has shattered you (the ego), surrounded by the seas (the turbulent emotional mind). Your riches, your goods, your cargo, your crew, your sailors, your caulkers, your commercial agents, all the soldiers you carry with you, the whole host who are aboard; (all of the above represent all of the negative thoughts that arise out of lower EGO mind thinking, especially the lower emotional outbursting mind, these are riches of the lower nature, this is trading gold in Tarshish), all will sink surrounded by the seas (collective unconscious, normal emotional waking consciousness) on the day of your (the ego's) shipwreck." (Ez.27-26-27).

Isaac’s wife Rebecca (Rivka) gave birth to fraternal twin sons: Jacob (Ya'akov) and Esau.

The two brothers were at war with each other even before they were born. They struggled within Rebecca's womb. Esau was Isaac's favorite, because he was a good hunter, but the more spiritually-minded Jacob was Rebecca's favorite. The womb is the mind, where the spiritual nature is born within each person, the physical must be overcome first.

Since the literal meaning of Jacob and Esau's relationship cannot be correct, then what is the passage in Romans intended to teach? To begin to understand, one needs just to dig deeper and see more clearly.

However, one must learn to stop relying on the physical eyes to see, especially since spiritual things are not seen with carnal (physical) eyes.

One eventually learns that this is the reality of obvious (seen) and hidden (unseen) understandings.

Ironically, this is the very thing that the symbolic relationship of Jacob and Esau is meant to teach. One cannot understand that these passages are about spiritual understandings until one begins to understand spiritually.

In reality, the passages in Romans (and elsewhere) have little to do with Jacob and Esau per se. The real teachings lie deep below the surface. The passages have everything to do with a central allegory that is replayed throughout Biblical scriptures as well as in many other religious writings. The deepest meanings point inward, not outward.

Jacob and Esau are meant to represent the dual nature of fallen man and the true relationship between the physical and the spiritual that must occur before carnal man becomes holy (whole), superior over his/her five sense life.

In a sense, Esau represents the physical part of each of us, or rather that part of us who is a slave to the senses of the physical body. Esau is willing to sell his (spiritual) birthright when he is overcome by (physical) hunger. We do the same nearly every day. Jacob represents the spirit of man, which is meant to be the ruler of the body, but rarely is.

Jacob is the part of man that is real (Israel) because, in reality, the physical is a reflection of the real (spiritual). Carnal man is ruled by his senses rather than the spirit and thus spends his life trying to find happiness in the gratification of the sense demands, but never finds it.

Carnal man spends all of his time going places and acquiring the things of the world because he thinks that these will make him happy. Although he may seem happy for a period of time, his dissatisfaction always returns, usually prompting him to seek even more of the earthly treasures that failed to please him in the first place. No matter how often he eats, his hunger always returns to haunt him.

This is the enmity (dissatisfaction) that was placed between Lucifer (the senses) and the seed of the woman (the Christ within us). If one was able to find lasting satisfaction in this physical world, then one would never find the Christ that is within. Ah yes, these things work together for the good of man, albeit carnal man thinks them to be a curse.

The same allegory is played out in the relationship between Isaac and Ishmael, man and woman, and many other places in the scriptures. In Eden, the woman is placed in subjugation to her husband, the true order.

As in the allegory of Jacob and Esau, the creation story has little to do with men and woman and everything to do with each of us as holy temples of God. In reality, man and woman are equal in the sight of God, but man is often caught in his own web of carnality and usually proclaims his superiority over women/the emotions/sin. In the deeper (spiritual) allegory that is intended, Eve represents our lower emotional mind. Her children are the thoughts that arise from the physical senses as well as the fruit(s) of "that tree". This parable is meant to teach us about ourselves

In the creation parable, Eve (the body and the physical senses) tempts Adam (the true self) with the enticements of the tree of knowledge (catering to the senses). She tells him that this fruit 'is delicious to the taste (sense pleasures) and very desirable". Eve steps out of her proper role and Adam follows into bondage.

It is the wrong order which is of carnal man, who sees, thinks, and lives in the world of gratifying the physical senses. Thus, that which was supposed to be last (the senses), or rather in subjugation to the spirit, is now first and rules it. Man/woman becomes whole (holy) when the relationship is reversed. That's the meaning of Esau and Jacob switching birthrights.

The last will be first and the first will be last or rather, things will be put in their proper order with the spirit ruling the flesh.

Unfortunately, carnal man often loves the chains that bind him. He remains in subjugation to the senses because this fruit tastes so good! As the Buddhists teach, man's attachment to the sense pleasures and his aversion to non-pleasures is ultimately the cause of his suffering, because each are temporary. When man is presented with something unpleasurable, or deprived of something pleasurable, he finds himself in misery. To find lasting happiness, he must entirely change his way of being. He must put off the natural man (of the senses) and be born again as a new being.

The one who looks only at the literal in all is like the farmer plowing his field when veins of gold lie in the rock deep beneath his field. He continues to make his living on the surface while there is great treasure to be found by digging deeper. Begin looking for the hidden meanings and the world about you will change. There will appear a new heaven and a new earth. And it will be you.

When Jesus told the people that he would raise the destroyed temple in three days, few understood that he was speaking of the temple of his body. Man is prone to take the most obvious and literal meanings as his truth. Man's own mind and his carnal way of thinking is what usually lead him astray.

It is the CARNALLY minded (natural man), that reads spiritual scriptures in their literal destructive form.

Carnal man will never understand the words of holiness because he does not harbor the (fertile) soil from which truth (as a seed) sprouts. It is beyond his comprehension. Rather he falsely perceives himself in possession of the very truth which he denies is in others. He is symbolically likened unto a bottle which is filled with wine and so there is not room for new wine. And he is as a man who continually patches a ripped or worn garment with scraps of old cloth, never realizing there are new clothes for the having.

Why is it that God teaches us in parables? One might notice that parables are a fountain of wisdom from which all may drink, from spiritual neophyte to sage and adept. An individual may discover a great truth in a parable that serves him well, then uncover another as he progresses, then more deeper and profound meanings as he progresses even further.

In a way, a parable acts as an inexhaustible store of wisdom and knowledge from which to draw. Like God, parables are not respecters of persons. All are served according to their needs and desires. All who will, may quench their thirst at the fountain of spiritual truths within parables and allegories. It is truly a marvelous thing.

Embedded within what may be called the "hidden" teachings within parables and allegories, there is often a very obvious call to carnal man to wake from his slumber. These often come in the form of a paradox. A paradox is an idea which appears to be in contradiction on the surface, but in harmony at deeper levels of understanding.

Most are familiar with such paradoxes as "… whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life shall find it." (Matthew 16:25) In a paradox, there is an obvious and apparent contradiction that is difficult to ignore, even for the most profane of individuals. The contradiction is like a voice calling one to wake up. It is meant to get one to exclaim like Nicodemus of old: "How can these things be?"

Thus, carnal man cannot rightfully claim that he missed the deeper symbolic teachings that lie behind the parables or allegories. The apparent contradictions of paradoxical statements are more than sufficient to call to those who, as word-worshipers, never look past the literal in anything. Inasmuch as it is impossible to reconcile paradoxes without resorting to the deeper symbolical meanings, one cannot rightfully remain in a (false) state of profane literalism. Yes, nothing is hidden from us, but that which we hide from ourselves.

It is paradoxical in itself that language has great limitations, yet great power. Like the proverbial two-edged sword, language can be like a trap which we often use to snare ourselves, yet it also can be the very thing that frees us. In reality, words are merely symbols to convey thoughts. To understand what is being communicated, it is necessary for both parties to agree on a definition.

A great irony is that carnal man, in his attempt to improve communication by trying to define everything in precise terms, depreciates it. The reality is that the full power of words are not in their literal definitions, but rather in the ability to encompass complex thoughts in them. When carnal man loses his vanity and is able to see far beyond the literal, then he finds great treasures which only need to be uncovered.

"And whosoever will lose his life (denounce his/her ego, the lower life) shall find it (the true higher self)." (Matthew 16:25)

When one begins to realize that words are symbols, and symbols are higher communication, then one begins to emerge from the state of mind that holds him in bondage. Eventually, he even sees beyond words as language and ultimately realizes that all truth is symbolized in the very creation that surrounds us. Ultimately, one realizes the source of all and comprehends all mysteries. Yet, they are only mysteries because we don't understand the obvious.

Jacob and Esau

YOUR STORY!!

The left and right hemispheres of the brain, the physical and the higher spiritual, battling over their birthright as to who will rule the nations.

This is the Cain and able story with a slightly different twist, the physical Esau must take second place to the spiritual Jacob, he won the wrestling match, because his thigh (desire) was put out, by the angel (the higher consciousness).

After reading this parable, you know the meaning of the following verse.

Matthew 20:16 "So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

“The two children ( the right and left hemispheres of the brain) inside you will become the fathers of two nations (where are the nations? in your limbs twain!!). Just like the two are fighting with each other now, the two nations will struggle with each other. One will be stronger than the other and the older will serve the younger.”

Esau means "hairy" (Heb: se’ar) a wordplay on Seir,[11] the region he settled in Edom after being 40 years of age ( the fourfold nature ) where he became the progenitor of the Edomites. The name Edom is also attributed to Esau, meaning "red" (Heb: `admoni);

Isaac was 40 years old ( this is the 4 fold nature ) when he married Rebekah. Many years went by, and still they didn't have any children. Isaac prayed to God, “Oh Lord, please look with favor on my wife Rebekah, and bless us with children.”

Esau returned to his brother Jacob being famished from the fields. He begged his twin brother to give him some "red pottage". (paralleling his nickname, Hebrew: אדום‎`Edom, meaning "Red". Jacob offered to give Esau a bowl of stew in exchange for his birthright (the right to be recognized as firstborn), and Esau agreed.

24: And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25: And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26: And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. 27: a score is twenty, three score is 666, it is the 666 lower mind of animal sense desire nature.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter ( a symbol of the animal nature ), a man of the field; and Jacob was a smooth man ( a symbol of no spiritual power ), dwelling in tents ( tents are a symbol of the lower self, Egypt etc...). 28: And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob. 29: And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: 30:

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 31: And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 32: And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? This sis symbolism of the first born unenlightened animal mind giving in to the higher divine impulses within the soul/mind )

meaning

24: And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25: And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26: And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. 27:

Red is a symbol of the lower emotional mind (sin), the hand being a symbol of the directing principle of mind, holds on to Esau's heel, heel is another symbol of the lower mind, the higher aspect born with the animal mind, follows the dictates of the physical (hairy garment), until it has reached maturity, then it realizes that the path of following the lower (Esau) must change.

Isaac was threescore ( 666 ), three score is sixty which reduces to the number six six six, the number of the natural man, six is always the physical in biblical mythology, so is 40 and 9.

When we are born, we are born with our animal instincts, but unless a person does not cultivate their spiritual Right side in meditation, then Esau will be in charge of the mental faculties their whole lives, that's why Jacob (the higher spiritual) must change birthrights, so the the spiritual is in control, with the animal nature taking second place in the persons operative mind.

Remember what god said in Daniel?

"I gave man the mind of an animal (Esau) until seven times passes by for him" Then Jacob will take control.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a smooth man, dwelling in tents.

A cunning hunter man of the field (animal instincts that come before spiritual ideas), this is the lower aspect of mind, Jacob a smooth man, the mind devoid of power in latency, Isaac the rational mind loved the lower because it took instructions from the rational mind, which pleases it, eating venison, a symbol of adhering to the things of the animal nature.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint:

The lower mind cries out to the higher, it needs the same pottage it was born with, because it is losing it's power, so Jacob (a natural man (mind, in the becoming of it's higher aspect) says OK, but only if you trade birthrights with me, and of course the ego says yes.

Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

The ego realized it has lost the battle to control the mind, so it gives in, it is satisfied, because the higher mind gave it a blessing and allows it function, but now it functions from a higher aspect. The ego dies to the higher nature.

Esau was a hairy man, in biblical mythology hair is a symbol of power, it has a dual aspect depending on the story, in this story "hairy" is a symbol of lower aspect.

Esau was an edomite, one of the Canaanites, this represents the lower mind, the physical. Notice the mention of 40 years, the number 40 represents the physical body and the 4 fold nature of us all.

Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah, also making reference to the physical. Rebekah is a symbol of the higher emotional right brain.

Esau returned to his brother Jacob being famished from the fields

In the fields means that he was tilling soil, just as Cain was a tiller of the soil, this represents the mind that churns out thoughts from it's lower aspect (soil).

begged his twin brother to give him some "red pottage". (paralleling his nickname, Hebrew: Edom, meaning "Red". SIN/emotions/desire, sense etc....

Red pottage is a symbol of the things from the emotional nature, the lower mind is dwelling in the emotions and trying to get the higher mind Jacob to follow it's ways.

Jacob offered to give Esau a bowl of stew in exchange for his birthright (the right to be recognized as firstborn), and Esau agreed.

Jacob "a smooth man" smoothness emphasizes kind, meek, lack of hair "spiritual in nature, yet not fully realized. So the higher mind offers to satisfy the cravings of the lower ego by offering it stew, "a symbol of food, as in feeding the lower quality all this it knows" which is operating from the lower physical mind. Since it really wants no part of things of the higher, it says to the higher sure we can trade places, but as long as you keep feeding me the things I need.

“The two children ( the right and left hemispheres of the brain) inside you will become the fathers of two nations (where are the nations? in your limbs twain!!). Just like the two are fighting with each other now, the two nations will struggle with each other. One will be stronger than the other and the older will serve the younger.”

The ego realizes that it is to take second place to the spiritual, the first born always represents the physical animal, yet in due time the higher aspect of mind knows that it must subdue this ego and put it second place, the birthright is changed, the ego takes it's proper second place.

FULL story

Esau the Jacob

Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah. Many years went by, and still they didn't have any children. Isaac prayed to God, “Oh Lord, please look with favor on my wife Rebekah, and bless us with children.”

God heard Isaac's prayer.

Soon, Rebekah was going to have a baby - but not one baby, she was going to have two!

Before her twins were even born, Rebekah could feel them kicking and fighting.

The duality of mind giving birth to it's higher unified mind

“Why is this happening?” she asked God. God answered her saying,

“The two children inside you will become the fathers of two nations. Just like the two are fighting with each other now, the two nations will struggle with each other. One will be stronger than the other and the older will serve the younger.”

Soon it came time for the children to be born.

The first baby born was a boy. He was all red and covered with hair, and so Isaac and Rebekah named him Esau which means 'hairy'. The second baby was also a boy, and hie was born grabbing onto Esau’s heel. Isaac and Rebekah named him Jacob which means 'thief'.

Isaac was 60 years old when Esau and Jacob were born.

The boys grew up.

Esau became a strong and great hunter who loved the outdoors. Isaac preferred Esau because he loved the wild game he brought home from hunting

Jacob was a quiet man, who liked to stay inside. Rebekah preferred Jacob.

One day, Jacob was at home cooking. He had just made a great huge pot of stew. Esau came home from hunting and was so hungry.

“Give me some of that red stuff. I am so hungry!” Esau demanded.

Jacob answered him, “Sure! I’ll give you some stew if you will give me your birthright.”

The birthright was a very important thing. It went to Esau because he was born first.

When Isaac, his father, died, Esau’s birthright would make him head of the household. He would get twice as much of his father's wealth as Jacob would.

"What good will a birthright do me if I starve to death? said Esau. Jacob insisted.

“Do you promise?” Jacob asked.

“I promise,” Esau said.

Jacob gave Esau some stew and bread. Esau ate, drank and when he was done, got up and left.

He gave up his birthright for a bowl of stew.

When Isaac was so old he could no longer see. He called to Esau, his oldest son, and said, “My son"

"Here I am" said Esau

“My son, I am so old that I may die soon. Take your bow and arrows and go out hunting. When you come back, cook the meat you hunted and bring it to me to eat. Then I will bless you before I die.”

Rebekah heard everything that Isaac had said to Esau.

As soon as Esau left, Rebekah said Jacob, “Your father has sent Esau away to hunt. When Esau gets back, he is going to fix your father's favorite dinner, and your father is going to give him his blessing.

“Quick! Do what I say! Go out into the fields and bring me two young goats, and I will make your father's favorite dinner using them. Then, you take it to him, and your father will think you are Esau, and he will bless you.”

But Jacob said, “Esau is all hairy, and I am not! If my father feels me, he will know I am trying to trick him, and he will curse me instead of blessing me!”

Let the curse be on me,” Jacob's mother said, “just do what I say.”

Jacob did as his mother asked and went out to get the goats.

Rebekah prepared a delicious meal from the goats that Jacob had brought her. Then she took some of Esau’s clothes and had Jacob put them on. She took the skins from the goats and put them on Jacob's arms and the back of his neck so that he would be hairy like his brother.

Carrying the meal, Jacob said, "Father."

"Yes, replied Isaac. "Which of my sons are you?"

“I am Esau, your first born, ” Jacob said. “I have done as you asked. Now eat so that you may give me your blessing”

“How did you do it so quickly?” his father asked.

“Your God was with me, ” Jacob answered.

Isaac said. “Come here. Let me touch you.”

Jacob went to him and Isaac felt the fur on Jacob's neck and arms.

Isaac said, “The voice is Jacob's, but the arms are Esau’s.”

Once more Isaac asked, “Are you really my son, Esau?”
“I am,” Jacob said.

And so Isaac ate the meal he thought Esau had brought him.

When he was finished he said, “Come here, my son, and kiss me, and then I will give you my blessing.”

So Jacob went to his father and kissed him. Isaac could smell the smell of Esau’s clothes, and so he said,

“The smell of my son is like the smell of open country the Lord has blessed. May God give you the dew of heaven, and the richness of the earth, corn and new wine in plenty!

Let nations and peoples serve you. May you rule over your brothers, and may they bow down to you. Let anyone who curses you be cursed, but blessed be anyone who blesses you!”

Jacob had barely left when his brother Esau came in from his hunting. He fixed his father's favorite meal, just as his father had asked him to. He brought it in to him, so that he could get his blessing.

“Who are you?” Isaac asked.

“I am your son, your firstborn, Esau,” he said.

“Then who was just here? Who brought my favorite meal, the one that I just ate? I gave him the blessing and I can't take it back!”

Esau cried out a great and bitter cry, “Bless me also, Father!"

“I can't,” Isaac said, “your brother has tricked me, and he has stolen your blessing.”

Esau cried out again, “You named him right when you named him Jacob. He has taken my place twice. First he took my birthright, and now he has stolen my blessing!”

“You must have saved a blessing for me,” Esau said to his father.

Isaac said, “I have already made you your brother's servant. I have given him the corn and new wine of our fields. What do I have left to give to you?”

Esau asked, “Have you only one blessing, my Father? Bless me also!"

Then his father said to him,

“Behold, you shall dwell in the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; By your sword shall you live, and serve your brother; and it shall come to pass when you have the dominion, you shalt break his yoke from your neck. ”

The ego (esau) is commanded to serve the higher mind (jacob) and the ego is upset.

you shalt break his yoke from your neck, the neck is a symbol of the cutoff pint that physical body with all of its desires surrenders to the mind, above the neck.

The command is that the go will not be in charge of the mind (neck) any longer.

From that day on Esau hated his brother, Jacob.\

“One day, my father will die,” he said, “and then I will kill Jacob!”
Esau’s words got back to Rebekah ( the spirit ).

Rebekah said to Jacob, “Your brother wants to kill you. Go to my brother Laban in Haban and stay there until Esau has settled down. I will send for you when things are more calm."

The ego fights back, because it has lost control of the faculties, and wants to take it back.

Rebekah ( spirit ) then went to her husband ( the mind )( the higher spirit functioning in the mental process ), Isaac. She said to him, " I would be so disgusted if Jacob were to marry a woman that worships idols like live here. Please send him to my brother, Labon in Hebron and let him find a wife there."

Hebron is the place of the jews :a jew is one inwardly" jacob is to take a wife (symbol of the higher emotions) from hebron, meaning from the meditative state.

Isaac agreed and called Jacob and gave him a blessing saying,

"You shall not marry a Canaanite woman (the mind in it's lower aspect Canaanite). Go to Padanaram (the higher aspect of one's mind), to the home of your mother's father Bethuel ; and chose a wife from the daughters of your uncle Laban.

Bethuel means house of bread, bread being a symbol of the higher spiritual nature.

And God Almighty bless you, and your marriage and give you many children.

May God bless you and your family as he blessed Abraham so you can possess the land he gave to Abraham." Abraham is the higher self guiding you within to the higher aspect of the spirit.

Jacob left for his uncle's home.

Uncle is a symbol of the rational mind om it's upward climb to godhood, this mind must continue to churn out a positive faith of things to come.

Jacob had traveled the whole day. The sun had already set ( the sun setting is a symbol of the dwindling of the spiritual essence within ). Jacob stopped for the night ( night means the meditative state ). He found a stone ( the stone is the pineal gland of the brain ) to put under his head and laid down to sleep.

He had the most amazing dream.

In his dream, Jacob saw a stairway that reached all the way to heaven, and the angels of God were going, up and down on it.

The stairway is the spine with its 33 vertibrae

There stood the Lord God right beside him! God said to Jacob,

“I am the One Who Is, the God of your grandfather Abraham and of your father Isaac! I am here to make this promise to you. I will give you and your family the land where you are now resting. The land is the mind under the influence of the higher spiritual mind and thoughts

You will have many children ( children are off spring of thinking ). Your children will have children, until one day, they will be as many as the dust of the earth. In you and your descendants, all nations of the earth will be blessed. Know that I am with you and will protect you wherever you go, and I will bring you safely back to this land. I will never leave you until I have done what I have promised.”

Children are thoughts, many children will be nothing but higher quality thoughts from this renewed spiritual mind, as Jacob did not take a Canaanite wife, the lower aspect.

The promised land is the fully actualized higher consciousness, brought about from the kindalini experience.

Jacob woke up.

He exclaimed, “How awesome is this place! This is the house of God, and the very gate to heaven” Heaven is the higher state of mind.

The next morning ( morning is a symbol of the renewed mind ), Jacob took the stone that he had under his head and set it up as a marker for what had happened there. He poured oil on top of it.

He called that site Bethel, which means "House of God."

The stone is the pineal gland and the oil is the chrism, or spinal fluid that has risen to the brain and activated the pineal gland and opened the right hemisphere of the brain, the house of god.

Then he made this promise to God. “If you watch over me as I go, and bring me safely back, then you shall be my God. I will worship you here in this place, and I will return to you one-tenth of everything you give me.”

Giving one tenth of your time in meditation, this keeps you grounded in the spirit, and keeps one from falling back to this lower beast, it's a continuous battle to keep the ego in it's proper place.

Jacob continued on his journey and God was with him.

Religion has destroyed more brain cells than all the grains of sand in the ocean.

"Man is conditioned right from the beginning of his life that the world he lives in has an absolute material reality." Not women, though. 'Cause they live in the kitchen.

Jacob wrestling with a man is you and me wrestling with ourselves. You know the inner struggles we have. When Jacobs thigh is put out it means desire to control the issue is gone. The thigh is a symbol of desire (for obvious reasons). Now we submit to divine mind.

As soon as Jacob no longer is in control, divine mind rules. His name is changed from Jacob to Israel. What is Israel ? No it's not a country.

IS is Isis. The feminine principle. Spirit

RA is Ra. The light, masculine, Mind

EL is God. The supreme universal light.

Thus by allowing his own desires to be broken. Jacob is now Israel. Is-Spirit and Ra-Mind come together and produce El. God within.

And you know the great part of this? In Genesis 32.30 Jacob says. " I have seen God face to face and I shall call this place Peniel". The Pineal Gland of the brain. The single eye. The receptor of light. The fire of meditation. The true pathway to IS RA EL.

So both Jacob and Heli are actually Josephs father, because they both mean exactly the same thing, they both represent the higher nature or god consciousness.

These kinds of things send the literal reader into a tailspin, claiming inerrant and contradiction, that's because they refuse to understand the mythological nature of the text.

Again;

Esau had little regard for the spiritual heritage of his forefathers, and sold his birthright of spiritual leadership to Jacob for a bowl of lentil stew. When Isaac was growing old, Rebecca tricked him into giving Jacob a blessing meant for Esau. Esau was  angry about this, and about the birthright, so Jacob fled to live with his uncle, where he met his beloved Rachel.

Jacob was deceived into marrying Rachel's older sister (the lower emotional mind), Leah, but later married Rachel (who was barren, the right side) as well, and Rachel and Leah's maidservants ( also the emotional nature), Bilhah and Zilphah.

Between these four women, Jacob fathered 12 sons and one daughter.

Jacob fathered 12 sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah,Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph and Benjamin. They are the ancestors of the tribes of Israel, and the ones for whom the tribes are named. Joseph is the father of two tribes: Manasseh
and Ephraim.

These are the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Who was Joseph?

A type of Christ-soul, the self struggling upward from the swampy regions below.

"Joseph in an Egyptian prison is Christ come into the world, where he can meet the two peoples, that is the jew ( one who seeks inward) and the gentile ( the one outer darkness). After long suffering (dark night of the soul), first, from the ungoverned violence of activities, which spring from true devotion, then through the temptations from the affections of the natural man/mind. Then through the bondage and pain, the spirit is freed from the attachments of the lower ego, and is glorified. "All Egypt" bows to Joseph.

Egypt is the lower mind quality in biblical mythology.

Joseph is the type of the suffering Christ, the idea seems to have been so, to group the sons of Jacob around Joseph that he should be the object of hatred of them all in their manifold sins (lower emotions), and yet whilst apparently perishing at their hands, be their deliverer"

Joseph takes an Egyptian wife, a lower quality thought, then he transmutes her to a Jew, a higher quality.

Egypt always signifies the mental plane, said "Egyptians" the mental faculties, mind becomes subject to spirit, from a lower sense to a higher one.

Jacob eventually died in Egypt, why?

Jacob became Israel (the higher conscious), and fathered the nations, so why did he go to Egypt and then die?

Ezekiel 38:1-3 The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Ezekiel 38:6 Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-Togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes

 North is the subconscious mind.

This is very deep and tricky mythology about the state of the human mind.

Full translation coming soon.

Every symbol has a deep meaning, the understanding of the nature of myth lies in the DETAILS of each account. Grain, rationing, two sons etc....

***

Your thoughts camped outside of the divine mind in the center.

Joseph traveled throughout Egypt (a symbol of the soul/mind in that reverted to desire and sense nature), gathering and storing enormous amounts of grain from each city ( the city is the brain and lower levels of consciousness, grain is a symbol of food, being grounded in the ego nature).

During these years, Asenath and Joseph had two sons (a symbol of the left and right hemispheres of the brain). The first Joseph (The mind in becoming one with the higher nature) named Manasseh, meaning, "God has made me forget (nashani) completely my hardship and my parental home" (Genesis 41:51). The mind apart from the higher.

Manasseh means who makes to forget and represents denial and forgetfulness. It is associated with Scorpio. But, its leader Gamaliel, means God rewards.

He named the second son Ephraim, meaning, "God has made me fertile (hiprani) in the land of my affliction" (Genesis 41:52). (The mind/soul under the influence of the sense and desire nature (egypt) the land of my affliction. (affliction is a symbol of the soul under the influence of the lower).

(Ephraim and Manasseh) as two separate tribes, where originally they were one, (Joseph). The result was that there were twelve tribes again. (Regardless of the history, the symbols must be maintained.)

If we held these ideas (the meaning of the names of the leaders) in our mind and truly believed in them, we would indeed have an army with which to fight the negativity, fears, selfish passions and emotions of our lower nature.

After seven years (the mind/spirit that is stuck under the seven chakras in the root chakra), a famine ( a place devoid of the spiritual life, the mind in the five sense nature only) spread throughout the land (the mind), and Egypt (the lower place of the famine, the lower mind state) was the only country that had food (sustenance for the soul, in this case the only place the soul can find groundedness in it's nature is to ally itself with Egypt).

Famine and abundance follow each other in alternating cycles as one of the many dual experiences to which we are subject while living on the material plane. Opposites bring pain, struggle, disappointment and disillusionment. Duality is the reality of material life. It is only by rising to the spiritual level that we can find the balance between the opposites.

Joseph (the mind in the becoming, but not yet fruitful) was in charge of rationing grain to the Egyptians and to all who came to Egypt. Joseph, the soul/mind in the becoming dictates to the lower self or lower mind the amount of the ego that it will tolerate, so the ego is fed, but kept in check by the mind Joseph.

Joseph, which means whom Jehovah will increase, represents the state of consciousness connected with our imagination. While Joseph resides in Egypt, it indicates that the imagination, or high ideal of Truth, has taken control over the material consciousness. We are told that in the house of the captain all things increase, under Joseph's supervision. The material and sensual consciousness, which once was our captor, is now content being controlled by a higher level of consciousness, for we are told that the captain prospered.

Famine is the level of the material consciousness when it comes to realize the emptiness of life lived on the physical plane only. Even though it does not know of the existence of the spiritual self, it experiences a discontent and longing for spiritual food.

The journey to Egypt represents the search for this spiritual food. The statement that there was corn in Egypt refers to a recurring theme in the Bible; that spiritual enlightenment was available in Egypt.

Egypt, which means the sense consciousness, the great unconscious or subjective side of consciousness, is where Moses was trained in the Mystery Schools and, referring to the Christ, the Scripture says, "out of Egypt have I called my Son."

The famine affected Canaan ( the mind under the influence of lower emotional thinking) and Jacob (a symbol of the natural mind) sent his 10 oldest sons to Egypt to get food, keeping only Benjamin, Rachel’s second son and Jacob’s youngest child, at home out of concern for his safety. 10 is a symbol of unity consciousness or the higher mind.

More than once, in the Bible, the patriarchs traveled to Egypt to find grain. For the individual, Egypt refers to the area below the diaphragm. It is there that the vitality, the great storehouse of power, is to be found. Joseph's travel to Egypt and his attainment of power there indicate that the enlightened consciousness his taken control of these forces. This is a necessary step in our spiritual development.

The spiritual knows the physical but the lower physical level of consciousness cannot understand the spiritual. Joseph knows the brothers, but they do not recognize him.

The ten sons represent attributes of the mind, emotions and body. It is important that each make a complete surrender to the higher, spiritual consciousness.

In this case they held back, for Benjamin, who here represents their most valued attribute, is left behind.

Joseph, which means Jehovah shall increase from perfection unto perfection, represents the state of conscious connected with our imagination. As a power in Egypt, he symbolizes the spiritual conscious developing in the unconscious.

Joseph’s brothers came and bowed to Joseph, who recognized them immediately but pretended they were strangers. He asked them where they were from and accused them of being spies. They denied his claim but he continued to speak harshly to them and interrogate them.

They told him they had a younger brother at home. Joseph then locked them in the guardhouse for three days before commanding the brothers to go home and bring their youngest brother back with them to prove that they were telling the truth. The brothers spoke among themselves lamenting that they were being punished for what they had done to Joseph, who overheard them, turned away and wept, but then continued his act.

He gave them grain and provisions for the journey, secretly returned their money and kept Simeon in jail pending their return.

The brothers returned to Canaan and told Jacob all that had happened in Egypt. They asked Jacob to send Benjamin down with them but he refused, "Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you would take away Benjamin" (Genesis 42:36).

Even Reuben’s offer that Jacob could kill Reuben’s two sons if Benjamin did not return safely did not move Jacob. Eventually, they finished the rations from Egypt and the famine became so severe that Jacob no longer had a choice.

Joseph did not identify himself, but accused the brothers of coming to Egypt to spy. The brothers denied it. Joseph agreed to give them grain, but he insisted that they return to Canaan and bring their brother Benjamin to him. To insure their return, he kept Simeon as hostage.

Joseph, the spiritual consciousness, will give to the mental consciousness, the grain or wisdom it seeks, but only after it surrenders completely. Therefore, he insists on the delivery of Benjamin, the last thing held back. The mental consciousness offers Simeon, or something of lesser value.

The brothers returned to Jacob and told him the story. But, Jacob refused to send Benjamin. He had already lost Joseph and now Simeon seemed lost. He could not bear to lose Benjamin also.

The physical mind is reluctant to give up completely to the spiritual. It fears losing control. This is the leap of faith, the jump off the cliff, that eventually each of us must make. Fear holds us back. It is the same meaning as the story of Abraham and his son Isaac, whom he had to be willing to sacrifice.

Judah told Jacob to send Benjamin in his care and if Benjamin did not return, "I shall stand guilty before you forever" (Genesis 43:9) So Jacob sent the brothers back to Egypt with Benjamin, along with a gift for Joseph and double the necessary money to repay the money that was returned to them.

The mind is in confusion. On the one hand, it craves the wisdom of the higher self, but still, it is fearful of losing something. Eventually, our passion for Spiritual Truth, represented here by Judah, which means praise Jehovah or prayer, prevails. And with Benjamin in our company, we approach Egypt once more

Pharaoh (the ego) heard that Joseph’s brothers had come and told them to bring their households to Egypt (the mind in confusion, devoid of spiritual growth) where he would give them the best of the land (living off of sense and desire nature only). Joseph gave each of them a wagon

( symbol of the vehicle of the lower realms of consciousness), provisions for the trip and a change of clothing (provisions and clothing represent food for the ego and clothing also represents ego coverings, see coats and cloaks). He gave Benjamin 300 pieces of silver and several changes of clothing. He also sent a large present back for his father.

300 reduces to three the first three chakras below the diaphragm, the lower level of consciousness, silver is a symbol of good deeds in the consciousness, yet still operating from the lower emotions.

Changes of clothing are symbols that ego will keep the higher intellect from in it's present state of the forgetfulness of spiritual things, as it pursues things of the physical material world (father).

At first Jacob did not believe that Joseph was alive The. After he saw the wagons that Joseph sent, however, he realized it was true. Then Jacob, at age 130, set out for Goshen with the 70 members of his household. He sent Judah ahead of him so Joseph knew that his father (the higher mind) was coming.

130 reduces to four, the fourfold nature of the mind, and 70 members are making reference to the seven seals or chakras.

In this context, it is the union of body, mind and soul; the point symbolized by the upper point of the triangle or pyramid; Illumination. It is also the union of the spirit of man with the Spirit of God. "I and my Father are One." The Alchemists called it the chemical marriage. It includes the realization that we are not separate. And, it brings the peace that passeth all understanding.

Joseph went to meet him and they embraced and cried. Joseph told Pharaoh that his brothers and father had arrived. The brothers informed Pharaoh that they were shepherds and Pharaoh put them in charge of his livestock. They lived in the best part of Egypt, in Rameses, and Joseph provided them with bread.

This journey of Jacob with his family and all their animals, into the land of Egypt symbolizes the unification of the I AM, here represented by Jacob, with all the faculties of mind, the life energies, emotions and the body.

The number 70 is an emphasis of the meaning of the number seven chakras, which symbolizes a completed spiritual cycle. It stands for wisdom and mystery. Goshen, which means drawing near or unity in Hebrew, is the place where the consciousness will now reside.

As the famine continued, the Egyptians eventually ran out of money (money is a symbol of the exchange of material consciousness over spiritual things, the ego has nothing else to offer the soul/mind).

They begged Joseph for food and he gave them bread in exchange for their animals. After a year, their animals were gone and Joseph made a new deal with the people. He gave them seed to plant on their farms and in exchange they gave Pharaoh one-fifth of their crops. He nationalized all farmland except that belonging to the priests, and turned the people into serfs.

The bread which Joseph gave to his family was the spiritual bread. For this, the people of Egypt were willing to give up everything they had. Finally, when they had relinquished all material and physical (animals) to the control of the spiritual, the famine ended. The spiritual then gave them the seed to plant anew, with the admonition that 20 percent ( one fifth) be given to our spiritual life, the Pharaoh (the ego). 20 represents the mind in duality, apart from the oneness of the higher conscious state.

He nationalized all farmland except that belonging to the priests ( a symbol of the higher inner spiritual thoughts and mind), and turned the people into serfs ( serfs is a symbol of the mind just above the the complete control of the ego consciousness, it is the mind reaching for the higher quality, but still in our daily waking life come under the control of the lower emotions).

After Jacob had lived in Egypt for 17 years (8 is the symbol of god, the higher consciousness, the mind being raised up in meditation), he called Joseph to him and made him swear that when Jacob died, Joseph would not bury him in Egypt, but would take him to the burial place of his fathers. Joseph swore to this. Soon after, Joseph was told that his father was sick. He brought his two sons to Jacob.

Jacob assured Joseph that he would consider Ephraim and Manasseh to be his sons just like Reuben and Simeon were when it came to the inheritance that God had promised Jacob’s offspring. Jacob then blessed Ephraim and Manasseh. Although Manasseh was the first-born, Jacob put his right hand, the stronger hand, on Ephraim’s head.

The right hand is the directing principle of the higher intellect.

Jacob indicated that Ephraijm would be the greater. This means that the feminine or Love principle, lost with the descent into the material world, will be elevated to its proper place. Love redeemed is the greatest of all powers. So, Jacob places Love, which is the second born, or the last to develop of the two, in the place of the Will.

When Joseph corrected him, Jacob said he did it on purpose and predicted that Ephraim would surpass Manasseh in greatness. Jacob told Joseph that he was about to die, but reassured him that God would be with him. He also assigned him an extra portion of his inheritance, a privilege usually given to the first-born.

Jacob blessed all of his sons, giving the longest blessing to Joseph. He instructed them to bury him in the cave of Machpelah, and then he died. Joseph flung himself at his father, cried and kissed him. Joseph then ordered his physicians to embalm Jacob. The Egyptians mourned for 70 days. Joseph received permission to go to Canaan to bury Jacob.

The death of Jacob was the ending of an era. At this point, Jacob had transferred his power and authority to Joseph who represents the enlightened soul. His brothers represent the personification of the mortal aspects of every human being.

His embalming took 40 days. As we have mentioned many times, the number 40 indicates operating strictly from the physical, sense and desire nature) a completed experience.

The mourning period of 70 days, which is the meaning of 7 emphasized , means a completed spiritual cycle.

It is not yet perfect, but a stage of completion has been reached. Jacob lived to the age of 147 (12) the 12 cranial nerves and the cycle of the completion of the power of the zodiac within ones consciousness), which is another way to indicate the same concepts. The number one has to do with unity consciousness. So the message is that Jacob had achieved a fundamental unity of his consciousness (1), completed a spiritual cycle (7).

Again, we have the reconciliation of the spiritually enlightened consciousness with the physical body and the spirit, indeed all the other attributes of man. For Illumination must include the whole, balanced man, the body, mind and spirit.

He took his brothers and his father’s household, along with all of Pharaoh’s officials and dignitaries, and left Egypt in a large group.

A symbol of the qualities of the mind regenerated through meditation, leaving behind the officials and dignitaries ( a symbol of the desire material thinking of the ego) and left Egypt, escaped the control of these lower desires.

When they came to Goren ha-Atad, he observed a seven-day mourning period. Joseph and his brothers then continued to the cave of Machpelah where they buried Jacob. They then returned to Egypt.

Caves are a symbol of the mind under the lower nature, in it's dark and gloomy state, devoid of the light of truth. The seven day mourning is the transformation of the mind through the seven seals or chakras, Joseph and his brothers are symbols of the aspects of lower consciousness, that never received any transformation, so they have to return to Egypt, Jacob died, the ego giving up it's grip on the higher function of the faculties.

Once Jacob was dead ( the mind that had died to the lower self ), the brothers were scared that Joseph would take revenge on them for selling him ( the brothers which are parts of the physical and emotional nature fear that the higher mind will punish these parts of our nature, that they will endure neglect and disdain).

They sent a message to Joseph saying that before his death Jacob had instructed them to tell Joseph to forgive them.

Jacob the higher mind admonished the normal intellectual mind Joseph, which is a type of Moses, it's a leader, but cannot enter within.

The parts of our make up, the physical, the intellectual and the emotional nature has caused much harm to the world, now that the mind is upon the higher, the other parts of the nature mind ask for forgiveness for their misdeeds, the mind which has roamed in the sense and desire world for self only.

They then offered to be his slaves . Joseph reassured them, saying that God intended for Joseph to go down to Egypt to ensure the survival of many people, and Joseph would take care of them and their children. So Joseph, his brothers and his father’s household remained in Egypt.

Slaves are a symbol of the subjection to the lower nature with it's desires, passions and sensations.

Joseph ( the rational mind, now under the authority of the higher divine principle) reassured them, saying that God intended for Joseph to go down to Egypt to ensure the survival of many people, ( Joseph, the rational mind under the higher thoughts, goes down into Egypt, meaning that the mind now keeps the ego in check and keeps the ego functioning at it's power) and Joseph would take care of them and their children (children are the thoughts, to keep the lower emotions from rising up within the mind). So Joseph, his brothers and his father’s household remained in Egypt.

It's important that the animal nature in us functions in it's normal state and not overwhelm the mind and senses, Joseph, the brothers and household are symbols of the new state of mind keeping the ego in it's rightful place in our daily waking consciousness.

Joseph lived 110 years. He saw great-grandchildren from both his sons. Before he died, he told his brothers that God would one day bring them up from Egypt into the land that God promised their fathers.

110 reduces to 2, the mind still in a state of duality and confusion, but before he, the rational mind dies, to the higher state (god) the promised land, that god the higher consciousness will bring the entire qualities of the body and mind to it's higher perfected state (the promised land)

He made them swear to carry his bones out of Egypt into that land. Joseph died and was embalmed and put in a coffin in Egypt.

Embalmed is a symbol of the fresh means that are provided for the perpetuation of the manifested plane, the physical body was gradually built up as an external encasement for the soul/mind.

Coffin is a symbol of the soul being rid of it's lower forms thoughts and habits

Bones are a symbol of the spiritual nature to which the higher and lower qualities of the soul/mind are attracted. "the lord keepeth all the bones, and none of them shall be broken" A symbol of the solidified inner spiritual nature, the qualities that were transformed through meditation, shall not return to their former state. So the bones ( the spiritual progress made, must leave the state of the material ego consciousness and remain in the hands of the higher (god).

When the Jews eventually left Egypt, Moses carried out Joseph’s bones. Joseph was buried in Shechem, on a piece of land that Jacob had previously bought. Joseph’s two sons both became tribes in Israel and the northern Israelite kingdom is many times referred to as the "House of Joseph." House means zodiac.

Jews "a Jew is one inwardly"

The Jews (us), those that stayed fast in their inwardness (meditation), leave the material world behind, by taking no thought in the meditation.

Moses (the intellect), under the influence of it's own higher qualities) carried out Joseph’s bones. ( bringsforth the qualities within the soul, to be kept and held by the mind in our daily life).

Joseph was buried in Shechem, on a piece of land that Jacob had previously bought.

Shechem is a symbol of the inner divine mind that stands between both hemispheres if the brain, Shechem is located between two mountains in the bible, the two mountains are always referring to the left and right hemispheres of the brain, Mt. Gerizim is on the left and Mt. Ebal is on the right. Jacob returning here is a symbol of the qualities of the soul and mind and blessings that one has received in meditation, by being obedient to meditation.

Bought, sold,etc.. is the activity within the soul and mind, the exchange of the material minded stuff for higher spiritual things. Jacob, a type of us that has made great strides in meditation and overcame the lower material and sense desire nature, this higher mind, is the returning to that land. it was previously purchased, meaning that the person (soul) had made up it's mind at some point to become more spiritual and take up meditation ( become a Jew).

When we have had enough of the matrix, when we have had enough of mans world, and we begin to seek the things of the higher (from the stars), or the cosmos.

We are symbolically buried in Shechem, which is a resting place between the two streams of the thought that come form dualistic thinking. In the center of the tribes in the desert is the divine mind. Levi Gemini

Joseph’s two sons both became tribes in Israel and the northern Israelite kingdom is many times referred to as the "House of Joseph." House means zodiac.

The inheritance of the sons of Joseph.

The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook; and it ended at the sea. Southward it was Ephraim’s, northward it was Manasseh’s, and the sea was its border.
Later settling in the west

Josh (16:1-4) The borders of the province belonging to the sons of Joseph, Ephraim and the half-tribe of Manasseh settling on the west side of the Jordan.

THE SCRIPTURE SAYS THE NORTHER ISRAELITE KINGDOM IS REFERRED TO AS THE HOUSE OF JOSEPH, BUT NOT THE HOUSE OF EPHRAIM AND MANASSEH, THERE'S IS WEST.

But the children of Joseph said, “The mountain country is not enough for us; and all the Canaanites who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both those who are of Beth Shean and its towns and those who are of the Valley of Jezreel.”

And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph; to Ephraim and Manasseh; saying, “You are a great people and have great power; you shall not have only one lot, but the mountain country shall be yours. Although it is wooded, you shall cut it down, and its farthest extent shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots and are strong.”

“if you are a great people, then go and get the land for yourself; fully occupy what the Lord has given you.” These tribes had not completely taken the mountain country in their midst, because they had chariots of IRON. This is the low levels of consciousness and thought that come from the Canaanite mind, the lower negative emotions.

(Joshua 14:11-12)! They want “easy land” given to them, instead of taking God’s promises and going out and taking what God has given them, the battles that go on the field of consciousness are a minute by minute task, but daily meditation will eventually kill out the Canaanites. "And they stood still, while god slew their enemies" That's the stillness of the mind in meditation, taking NO THOUGHT. Where are the enemies?

Psalm "Your enemies are of your OWN HOUSE" In other words within your very own mind and NOwhere else.

An incomplete occupation: Jerusalem remains in Canaanite hands.

As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.

Your enemies are there until YOU overtake them in your meditation, you must do as Jesus said, "the first (the physical) will be last and last (the spiritual) will be first" When that happens, then the Canaanites, jebusites, and all other ites are driven from the land or taken as slaves, then the fully awakened consciousness is in complete control of the promised land (the brain and your thoughts).

"And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and Manasseh, saying, "You are a numerous people and have great power; you shall not have one lot only..."

The Jordan river is spine and spinal fluid.

The tribe of Manasseh, thus, was the only of the 12 tribes of Israel to receive an inheritance on both sides of the Jordan River. The double portion of Manasseh's rightful inheritance as first born son was manifested in the double portion of land allotted the tribe of Manasseh. The 12 cranial nerves of the brain, which the kundalini energy must flow over.

Hence it is necessary, when discussing the inheritance of the tribe of Manasseh, to think in terms of East Manasseh and West Manasseh. East and West may be used to denote each side

The sea of Galilee is the Brain.

So the house of Joseph, the three signs of the zodiac within your consciousness that make up the western tribes are Representative of the INTELLECT.

But his two sons represent the emotions under the control of the west or intellect.

The intellect that has power over the north (the emotions (Dan)

Who are the names of Josephs two sons?

MANASSEH and EPHRIAM

Now look below and you will see Josephs TWO sons

The four great beasts or Tetramorphs described in the Book of Revelations are the four fixed signs of the zodiac.

As for the likeness of their faces, they each had a human-like face of a man (Aquarius) , the face of a lion (Leo), the face of an ox ( Taurus the bull) and the face of an eagle (Scorpio)

Here's the four corners of the EARTH.

Lion, Leo, Fire, Judah, East/LIGHT
Eagle, Scorpio, Water, Dan, North/Subconscious/emotions
Man, Aquarius, Air, Reuben, South/conscious/physical
Bull, Taurus, Earth, Ephraim, West/intellect

Metaphysically you always face North, your nose always points north.

NORTH -DAN - NAPHTALI - ASHER Emotional

EAST -JUDAH -ISSACHAR - ZEBULUN Enlightenment

SOUTH- REUBEN - SIMEON - GAD Physical

WEST- BENJAMIN-MANASSEH- EPHRIAM intellectual Josephs two sons.

This is mythology describing the brain, and the parameters of the brain as sits in the skull.

POSITIONED IN THE NORTH
-THE EMOTIONS The tribe of Dan-Scorpio

The tribe of Naphtali, -Capricorn The tribe of Asher,- Aries

POSITIONED IN THE SOUTH-THE PHYSICAL The tribe of Reuben-Libra

The tribe of Simeon-Gemini The tribe of Gad-Sagittarius

POSITIONED IN THE WEST-THE INTELLECT The tribe of Ephraim,-Aquarius

The tribe of Manasseh,- Cancer The tribe of Benjamin-Virgo

POSITIONED IN THE EAST-SPIRIT The tribe of Judah-Leo

The tribe of Issachar-Taurus The tribe of Zebulun-Pisces

POSITIONED IN THE CENTER-THE TABERNACLE-DIVINE MIND The tribe of Levi-Gemini

Notice that there are 13 tribes. Simeon and Levi are twins. Gemini.

Again the BRAIN with the tabernacle in the middle ( where your animal nature is sacrificed to god), and all of the four parts of your nature around the tabernacle (brain)

Try and explain this to your friends and relatives and see what happens, they will label you a loony or worse, they will not have much to do with you, that's for sure, you won't be able to buy or sell anymore, your ration card will be taken away!

As we develop this material, it is most interesting when you begin to understand, why the tribes were positioned at a particular compass point, and how we may learn of our origins, and future, by understanding our tribe.

You see, the Bible places everyone in the universe in a particular tribe, for a particular reason.

The city (your brain) has "and the east three gates, the west three gates, the north three gates, the south three gates"

Above you will see the 12 tribes of Israel, these are the twelve signs of the Zodiac, The different tribes are referring to the ZODIAC (Mazzaroth) Judah's tribe number happens to be 186,400, which is the constant speed of light.

combine these 12, with your 12 cranial nerves of (your city) brain and you will be plugged into the Universe, and your temple will have 24 elders present. And it's all in the Bible, it's your brain manifesting the twelve from above.

In the Bible it says that in the temple inside of the Mercy Seat you would find Aarons Rod that bloomed almonds.

The temple is actually the human brain. The rod is the spine, and it bloomed almonds because as the Kundalini energy moves up the spine or rod, it reaches the laryingeal area and touches something called amygdala which is the almond. Near the area of the throat is the amygdala or the almond.

The rod blooms almonds through meditation, as the chakras (almonds) are energized and one is then enlightened to speak and lead others to the inner pathway of light.

Everything has a wonderful meaning.

Your spine with the almonds (chakras) that have bloomed (opened) with Jesus (solar plexus energy)

Your brain covered by the cerebrum, the Cherubims of the bible

Your SEVEN seals, or Chakras, the candle stick is the spine

Rev. "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of that great city, which our lord was crucified, in a place SPIRITUALLY called SODOM and EGYPT."

You see it's a spiritual place, not literal.

On the way to Galilee Jesus had to pass through Samaria and came to a town called Sychar. This was the plot of ground Jacob gave to Joseph and there was found Jacob’s Well. Jesus sat and rested at the well while the disciples went into town to buy supplies. A woman comes to the well to draw water and Jesus uses the opportunity to lift the woman’s understanding from tradition to Truth.

He says to her, “Give me to drink.” The woman is the lower mind, She (the ego) says, “You are a Jew. How can you ask me, a Samaritan, and a woman, for a drink?” But the request for a drink carried a far higher meaning than she had considered. Jesus was really asking her (the ego) to share the spiritual life she had received from this “traditional” well, which was dug by the Patriarch Jacob.

Jesus replies, “If only you recognised God’s gift, and who it is that is asking you for a drink, you would have been asking him instead, and he would have given you living water.”

But again the EGO gets in the way and so she is forced to resort to her traditional teaching and heritage, to defend herself. “Are you greater than our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well which has supplied us with water all these years? In any case, this well is deep and you do not have a bucket. How then can you give me living water?”

Jacob represented the natural man who became the progenitor of the nation of Israel (the higher consciousness). After he wrestled with the Angel. Like Abraham, Jacob had a very personal dealing with God that transformed his life (see Jacobs Wrestling match). After seizing the birthright from his brother Esau, he set about deceiving his father by assuming the identity of his older brother in order to obtain the patriarchal blessing.

That false sense of identity continued in his life until he was reconciled to his brother Esau. The mind cannot function without the body, the ego takes it's rightful place in the kingdom.

This reconciliation began the night Jacob found himself alone and wrestling a “heavenly messenger” (his true identity, his own higher self), who sort to overcome the lie that Jacob was living within himself. As the dawn approached this mysterious visitor found that he had not secured the victory, so he touched the hollow of his thigh. The higher consciousness/ANGEL put out his desire to be part of them, this world.

This was a mortal blow to the ego/Jacob as this heavenly visitor, who now asked to be released, so easily exposed its vulnerability. However, as the new day dawned a subtle change came over Jacob because for the first time he was powerless in the presence of this heavenly one.

Jacob the cheat discovered the deceiving force that had controlled his life had been broken in the presence of this one from heaven. He said, “I will not let you go until you bless me.” This was the blessing he had sort for from his birth when he grasped the “heel” of his first born brother, but his ego prevented him from receiving it until now.

Jacob was transformed that night and was given a new name suited to his new character, ISRAEL, a Prince with God. These things were a very real part of this Samaritan woman’s religion, which raised the question in her mind of superiority between Jesus and Jacob. However the thought of having the inner spring of life giving water, caused her to ask for it without hesitation.

So Jesus takes her further along the road, by asking her to, “Go home and call your husband and then return.” The woman replied, “I have no husband.” This truthful admission makes her ready to receive further truth, Jesus said, ”You are right is saying you have no husband, for you have already had FIVE, and the one you presently have (your EGO) is not your husband.” The five represents the mind that is married to five senses, the tue husband should be the higher mind.

Jesus is not making any moral judgement here regarding the woman, for the word “husband” could be translated as “master” or “Lord.” In the Greek it is derived from the word for MAN - ANTHROPOS. The truth is that Jesus went straight to the very crux of the matter with this woman, and that was far greater than any moral issue. The woman’s (ego's) problem was that there was no real authority in her life. Her five former ”husbands,” for whatever reason had not provided that authority.

The spirit without a mate usually follows the lower emotions.

If we are governed by the five senses we will be as a kingdom divided against itself, and brought to desolation. Jesus taught this principal in the sermon on the Mount. “The light of the body is the EYE, if your EYE be single your whole body will be full of light.”

That's the pineal gland of the brain, that must be activated in meditation, in order to receive it.

This woman of Samaria had been governed by the five senses of the carnal mind. As a result she had no single authority in her life and so had to rely on the confused direction of the five “husbands” or senses. However on this day she had met someone who so impressed her that she declared openly,

Sir, I can see you are a Prophet.”  ( prophet is a symbol of higher divine impulses within the mind ) In this statement she sensed a wisdom and an authority she had not encountered before. But her old religious thinking was not yet ready to concede defeat.

“Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain ( mountain is a symbol of the higher aspect of mind ), but you people say that Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship God.” This revealed the confusion that was in her mind, so Jesus answered, “The hour is coming and is already here when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

YOU people worship what you do not understand, but we understand, for after all, Salvation is from the Jews (a Jew is one INWARDLY). But the time is come when those who are the real worshipers will worship the Father IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. These are the ones Father is seeking for, because GOD IS SPIRIT.” That;s meditation!!!!

This woman (ego) is afraid because this “prophet” is taking her beyond the limits of her understanding, and she is powerless to resist. She has exhausted her inherited understanding, based upon sense knowledge but is now being drawn into into the unfamiliar world of the Spirit. Jesus ( your higher self ) had already brushed aside her limited knowledge and infused a desire in her to ascend into a higher realm, that of the Spirit. The power of her (ego) was broken as truth began to penetrate her heart. The question of ancestors and mountains is gone and now the focus is on a God that is Spirit.

The woman recalls, “WE know that the Messiah (CHRIST) is coming, and when he is here he will tell us everything.” Jesus replied, “I AM is the one speaking to you now.”

This revealing of “I AM” was prophesied by Isaiah, “Therefore they shall know in that day, that “I AM” he that speaks, behold it is I.” In the presence of the “I AM” every other power (knee) must bow including the ego in man. Babylon is brought to desolation because she said, “I AM and none else beside me.” Isa 47 : 8-10.

Even the mythical writer of the biblical Galatians informs and exhorts his followers: "My little children, with whom I am again in travail until the Christ be formed in you." (Emphasis added.)

What this correctly means is that until you become Christ Christ is a spiritual state of union with divinity, not a Jewish man, you are just a child, you are not fully formed.

The whole point of real religion is to create enlightened, awakened, fully formed adults who take responsibility for themselves and do not pass it off on any savior, messiah or father god.

A so-called religion that causes one to become crippled, self-mortifying and self-deprecating is not a religion but a social system of controlling the masses through psychological deformation and retardation.

Surrendering your existence to a fictitious daddy in heaven or his savior-son is not a religious experience.

For those who know what a religious experience is, that is, an epiphany whereby the entire universe becomes a blessing, followers of organized religion who proudly proclaim they are religious are irritating and idiotic.

Get a clue about the nature of God other than what some ridiculous, outdated, biased, sexist, racist and spurious book and its cheerleaders dictate.

Meditate and feel your inner silence.

Then you will truly be able to claim you are religious, but not while you are unthinkingly following someone or something simply because you think that will earn you marks in the Maker's "Book of Life."

John 6:16-21, “The disciples entered into a ship to go to Capernaum and it was dark (code word for darkroom meditation), but Jesus had not come to them. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about thirty furlongs (first three chakras) they see Jesus WALKING ON THE SEA (turbulent emotional dualistic mind), and drawing near unto the ship (body), AND THEY (the things of the lower mind, ego) WERE AFRAID. But he said unto them, I AM, BE NOT AFRAID.

Then they willingly received him into the boat and IMMEDIATELY they were at the shore where they were going.”

They had found the Hidden Lighthouse

Now you know the real meaning of Jacob and Esau, neat huh?

Which one are you? If you're still Esau, then you have a lot of work to do, you must meditate above the thoughts of the mind, thought is the enemy of god. Thoughts originate from the Esau mind, especially the lower emotional thoughts, which is SIN, and symbolized by the color RED, a hairy one RED one at that.

You are saved by Jesus when you raise the energy in the solar plexus (Jesus) to the Pineal gland of the brain, through the seven seals, then you are baptized with the fire from above, then you are saved out of it, but not until then.

Do you see that when you read the Bible (spiritually), the real meaning becomes clear, but not if you read it LITERALLY, because that's the letter that kills, it kills the meaning. The story read literally would be just another nonsensical tale, that nobody would ever understand, like all bible stories, if you want to get to the real meat, you must learn to interpret the stories in their metaphysical (spiritual) sense.

"Don't be a minister of the letter (literal) for the letter killeth"

Moses

The story of Moses  is but another way of describing that when we are born, we live in the sense and desire nature, the lower mind as it were, but through endeavor and understanding, we begin a spiritual journey upward, out of Egypt, the lower mind quality.

The story of the Moses basket ( the basket is your consciousness ) comes from Exodus 2:1-10. In it, Moses is left in a basket amid the reeds and bulrushes along the Nile ( this is a symbol of the life of the soul immersed in the lower, the reeds and bullrushes are symbols of the swampy lower self ), in Egypt where the Hebrews ( hebrews are those that follow the higher impulses of the intellect ) had been living since the time of Jacob.

By the end of Exodus 1, the pharaoh of Egypt  had decreed that all the Hebrew boy babies were to be drowned at birth. ( the lower mind tries to keep captive the thoughts, so the symbol of drowning, the first thoughts are of a lower vibration and quality ESAU

In the 10 verses from Exodus 2, Yocheved, Moses' mother, hides her newborn for 3 months ( three is always a symbol of new life, as in overcoming the forces of the first three lower chakras ) and then places her baby in a caulked wicker basket in the Nile River reeds. The baby's crying alerts one of the pharaoh's daughters ( the lower emotions have captured the mental faculties ) who takes the baby.

Moses' sister Miriam ( the spirit, your soul ) watches in hiding, but comes out when it is clear, the princess is planning to keep the child. She asks the princess if she would like a Hebrew midwife ( a symbol of the mind in the process of an upward climb consciously ).

The princess ( a symbol of the lower emotions ) agrees and so Miriam ( the spirit ) arranges to have the real mother get paid to nurse her own child ( it is important that the soul get understanding from the higher light or it will stay dead in Egypt, the nursing is a symbol of the good things that the spirit may find during the life lived in the lower forces Egypt, an upward push for wisdom from the higher aspect of ones own intellect  ) who now lives among the Egyptian royalty.

The soul must undergo the influence of the lower self since birth ESAU, but with proper guidance from the higher self and meditation, one may eventually leave Egypt and take the people ( thoughts ) with them.

This Motif is legion through out the Bible.

You are reading SPIRITUAL ALLEGORY!!!

Who is Amalek?

Esau represents the body consciousness. From him the Amalekites were descended. Amalek (warlike, dweller in the vale, that licks up, or consumes) signifies lust, that base desire which, when established in the animal forces of the subconscious mind of man, is the begetter of destructive, rebellious, perverted appetites and passions.

Amalek's father was Eliphaz, meaning God is strengthGod is fine goldThus desire at its origin is good and is of God; but when it is misinterpreted by the carnal man it becomes lust (Amalek). Amalek then, is the lower passions and lust of the FLESH.

The base desires of the individual. To those in spiritual understanding it is clear that the vale (valley dweller) represents that great realm of mind called the subconscious

The Amalekites symbolize the animal forces, appetites, and passions. They are warlike, and are destructive in their nature.

They must be cleansed completely out of consciousness by MEDITATION.
